Abstract
A pulse and active pulse spectraphotometry system comprises a light source adapted to illuminate a tissue site with optical radiation having a plurality of wavelengths selected from at least one of a primary band of about 1620 nm to about 1730 nm and a secondary band of about 1000 nm to about 1380 nm.

21. A pulse spectraphotometry system comprising:
-
a light source configured to illuminate a tissue site with optical radiation at a first group of discrete wavelengths and a second group of discrete wavelengths, the first group of discrete wavelengths comprising at least some wavelengths different from the second group of discrete wavelengths, the tissue site having a modulated blood volume; a detector configured to detect the optical radiation attenuated by the tissue site and generate an output signal responsive to absorption of the optical radiation by the tissue site; and a processor configured to determine one or more measurement values of an analyte in the modulated blood volume based on the output signal, wherein the first group of discrete wavelengths comprises one or more wavelengths from a group of about 1050 nm, about 1200 nm, about 1270 nm, about 1300 nm, and about 1330 nm. - View Dependent Claims (22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30)
