1. A method, implemented at least in part by one or more computing devices, for presenting a user interface for facilitating user evaluation of past career decisions, the method comprising:
- presenting at least three stage cards representing different stages in a career history of a user;
responsive to activation of one of the at least three stage cards, presenting a user interface element for receiving a stage name to be assigned to the activated stage card;
presenting the stage name with the activated stage card;
presenting, on the at least three stage cards, groups of ratings units representing at least three ratings categories; and
color-shading individual ratings units according to user rating of the career history stages, wherein the color-shaded ratings units are color-coded according to ratings category.

Abstract
Techniques and tools are described for facilitating user reflection on past decisions in order to determine trends and to assist in future decision-making. Technologies for administering a career history exercise and for visualizing results of the career history exercise are described. Visualizations include using stage cards representative of stages in a user'"'"'s career history. User ratings of the stages in his or her career history are displayed on the stage cards using color-shaded ratings units.

a processor; and memory storing computer-executable instructions for causing the computer system to perform a method of presenting a user interface for administering a career history exercise, the method comprising; presenting at least three stage cards representing different stages in a career history of a user; responsive to activation of a first stage card of the at least three stage cards by the user, presenting a first user interface element for receiving input of a first stage name to be assigned to the first stage card; presenting the first stage name with the first stage card; responsive to activation of a second stage card of the at least three stage cards by the user, presenting a second user interface element for receiving input of a second stage name to be assigned to the second stage card; presenting the second stage name with the second stage card; presenting a series of ratings units for each of at least three ratings categories on each of the at least three stage cards; responsive to mouse gestures directed at individual ratings units, color-shading the individual ratings units, wherein each series of ratings units is color-coded based on the corresponding ratings category; and presenting the at least three stage cards with the respective stage names and with a portion of the ratings units color-shaded according to user rating of each stage in the career history.
