1. A resorbable bone graft scaffold material, comprising:

  • a plurality of overlapping and interlinking nonporous, polymer-free bioactive ceramic fibers defining a scaffold structure;

    a plurality of pores distributed throughout and defined by the scaffold; and

    a plurality of bioactive, resorbable spheres distributed in at least some of the respective pores;

    wherein each respective sphere is fused to at least one ceramic fiber;

    wherein the fibers are characterized by fiber diameters ranging from about 5 nanometers to about 100 micrometers;

    wherein the fibers are a bioactive, resorbable material.
