Abstract

There is disclosed a power conversion apparatus 3 for converting polyphase ac power directly to ac power. A conversion circuit includes a plurality of first switching devices 311, 313, 315 and a plurality of second switching devices 312, 314, 316 connected, respectively, with the phases R, S, T of the polyphase ac power, and configured to enable electrical switching operation in both directions. Output lines 331, 332 formed by a pair of busbars are connected with the conversion circuit. The first switching devices and the second switching devices are so arranged that output terminals are arranged in a row. The output lines 331, 332 are connected with the output terminals and drawn out rectilinearly in one direction.

Claims

1. A power conversion apparatus for converting polyphase ac power directly to ac power, the power conversion apparatus comprising:

a conversion circuit including a plurality of first switching devices connected, respectively, with phases of the polyphase ac power, and configured to enable electrical switching operation in both directions, and a plurality of second switching devices connected, respectively, with the phases of the polyphase ac power, and configured to enable electrical switching operation in both directions; and

a first output line connected with the first switching devices, and a second output line connected with the second switching devices,

as a spatial arrangement, output terminals of the first switching devices being arranged in a row and output terminals of the second switching devices being arranged in a row,

each of the first output line and the second output line being connected with the output terminals and drawn out in one direction.

2. The power conversion apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the first switching devices and the second switching devices are disposed on both sides of a center line of the conversion circuit, respectively,

each of the first switching devices and the second switching devices includes an input terminal connected with an input line,

the first output line and the second output line are connected with the output terminals located on an inner side of the input terminals.

3. The power conversion apparatus as recited in claim 2 wherein the power conversion apparatus further comprises a plurality of condensers connected with the conversion circuit, and the condensers are disposed on an outer side of the first switching devices and the second switching devices.

4. The power conversion apparatus as recited in claim 3, wherein the condensers connected with the first switching devices and the condensers connected with the second switching devices, are connected with each other.

5. The power conversion apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the first output line and the second output line extend rectilinearly and the first output line and the second output line are parallel to each other.

6. The power conversion apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein the first output line and the second output line are formed by a pair of busbars extending in parallel with each other.

7. The power conversion apparatus as recited in claim 1, wherein each of the switching devices includes the output terminal formed in a first end portion, and an input terminal formed in a second end portion;

the first switching devices are disposed adjacent to one another so that the output terminals of the first switching devices are arranged in a row, and the input terminals of the first switching devices are arranged in a row;

the second switching devices are disposed adjacent to one another so that the output terminals of the second switching devices are arranged in a row, and the input terminals of the second switching devices are arranged in a row;

the first switching devices and the second switching devices are arranged symmetrically so that one of a set of the output terminals and a set of the input terminals is on an inner side and the other of the set of the output terminals and the set of the input terminals is on an outer side.
