Abstract

A method for configuring configuration information with a user equipment in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes determining, upon receipt of a Physical Uplink Control Channel/Sounding Reference Signal (PUCCH/SRS) release request from a lower layer, whether configuration information required for a transmission mode supporting Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) has been configured, and if the configuration information has been configured, reconfiguring a setting state of the configuration information.

Claims

1. A method for configuring configuration information at a user equipment in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:

determining, upon receipt of a Physical Uplink Control Channel/Sounding Reference Signal (PUCCH/SRS) release request from a lower layer, whether configuration information required for a transmission mode supporting Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) has been configured; and

if the configuration information has been configured, reconfiguring a setting state of the configuration information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the configuration information comprises configuration information about each of CSI-RS-ConfigZP-r11, CSI-RS-ConfigNZP-r11, CSI-IM-Config-r11, CQI-ReportPeriodExt-r11, AntennaInfoDedicated-r11, and CSI-Process-r11.

The method of claim 2, wherein the reconfiguring comprises maintaining configurations of CSI-RS-ConfigZP-r11 and CSI-RS-ConfigNZP-r11, and wherein the CSI-RS-ConfigZP-r11 is configured to provide resource configuration information about a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) requiring zero transmission power and the CSI-RS-ConfigNZP-r11 is configured to provide resource configuration information about a CSI-RS requiring non-zero transmission power.

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the reconfiguring comprises releasing a configuration of each of CSI-IM-Config-r11, CQI-ReportPeriodExt-r11, AntennaInfoDedicated-r11, and CSI-Process-r11.

The method of claim 4, wherein the CSI-IM-Config-r11 is configured to provide resource configuration information about Channel State Information-Interference Measurement (CSI-IM), the CQI-ReportPeriodExt-r11 is configured to provide configuration information for periodic Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) reporting of the user equipment, the AntennaInfoDedicated-r11 comprises information about a transmission mode and codebook subset restriction information, and the CSI-Process-r11 is configured to specify a reporting unit in which the UE reports a CQI.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the receiving comprises, upon sensing failure of an uplink transmission at the lower layer, receiving the PUCCH/SRS release request from the lower layer.

The method of claim 6, wherein if at least one of expiration of a timer used to determine validity of an uplink transmission timing for the uplink transmission or a number of transmissions of an uplink Scheduling Request (SR) message exceeding a maximum transmission number is satisfied, the failure of the uplink transmission is sensed.

8. A user equipment configured to configure configuration information in a mobile communication system, the user equipment comprising:

a controller configured to, upon receipt of a Physical Uplink Control Channel/Sounding Reference Signal (PUCCH/SRS) release request from a lower layer through a transceiver, determine whether configuration information required for a transmission mode supporting Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP) has been configured and, if the configuration information has been configured, to reconfigure a setting state of the configuration information.

9. The user equipment of claim 8, wherein the configuration information comprises configuration information about each of CSI-RS-ConfigZP-r11, CSI-RS-ConfigNZP-r11, CSI-IM-Config-r11, CQI-ReportPeriodExt-r11, AntennaInfoDedicated-r11, and CSI-Process-r11.

10. The user equipment of claim 9, wherein when reconfiguring the configuration information, the controller is configured to maintain configurations of CSI-RS-ConfigZP-r11 and CSI-RS-ConfigNZP-r11, and

wherein the CSI-RS-ConfigZP-r11 provides resource configuration information about a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) requiring zero transmission power and the CSI-RS-ConfigNZP-r11 provides resource configuration information about a CSI-RS requiring non-zero transmission power.

11. The user equipment of claim 9, wherein when reconfiguring the control information, the controller is configured to release a configuration of each of CSI-IM-Config-r11, CQI-ReportPeriodExt-r11, AntennaInfoDedicated-r11, and CSI-Process-r11.

The user equipment of claim 11, wherein the CSI-IM-Config-r11 is configured to provide resource configuration information about Channel State Information-Interference Measurement (CSI-IM), the CQI-ReportPeriodExt-r11 is configured to provide configuration information for periodic Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) reporting of the user equipment, the AntennaInfoDedicated-r11 comprises information about a transmission mode and codebook subset restriction information, and the CSI-Process-r11 is configured to specify a reporting unit in which the UE reports a CQI.

13. The user equipment of claim 8, wherein upon sensing failure of an uplink transmission at the lower layer, the controller is configured to receive the PUCCH/SRS release request from the higher layer through the transceiver.

The user equipment of claim 13, wherein if at least one of expiration of a timer used to determine validity of an uplink transmission timing for the uplink transmission or a number of transmissions of an uplink Scheduling Request (SR) message exceeding a maximum transmission number is satisfied, the controller is configured to sense the failure of the uplink transmission.
