Abstract

A method for activating mobile device activity is disclosed. A mobile device may receive an action association to a stance, wherein the stance comprises a sector of the mobile device relative to a base, wherein a user specifies an action associated to the stance. The mobile device can receive a signal that the mobile device is present in the sector. Further, the mobile device, responsive to receiving the signal, may perform the action.

Claims

1. A method for activating mobile device activity, the method comprising:

receiving an action association to at least one stance, wherein the stance comprises a sector of the mobile device relative to a base, wherein a user specifies an action associated to the stance;

receiving a signal that the mobile device is present in the sector; and

responsive to receiving the signal, performing the action.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the action comprises communicating to a cloud service other than the base.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein performing the action comprises:

rendering a prompt;

receiving an acknowledgment; and

responsive to receiving the acknowledgment, performing substantive data exchange.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the stance is comprised of a relative position of the mobile device to the base and an orientation of the device with respect to the an apparent force of gravity.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving a user identification of at least one base, wherein the user provides the identity of the base with which to coordinate;

wherein receiving the action association further comprises;

receiving a user login;

receiving service resolution parameters; and

receiving a user password.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the action comprises changing an availability of at least one application.

7. The method of claim 3, wherein the action further comprises rendering data concurrent to a data file upload.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein concurrent to the file upload, is seconds prior to beginning transmission of the file.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein beginning transmission of the file discriminates among files based on a tag associated with the file.

10. A method for indicating stance comprising:

determining a mobile device within a field of view of at least one sensor, wherein the at least one sensor can make the determining as far as 10 meters from the base; and

reporting to the mobile device position relative to the at least one sensor.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

wherein reporting further comprises transmitting the identity of the sensor.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising:

indicating to the mobile device the identity of the mobile device.

13. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

receiving an identifier of the mobile device from the user.
