1. A concrete saw comprising:

  • a chassis member, said chassis member having an upper surface region, a front end and a rear end;

    a front axle coupled to said chassis member and disposed relatively proximate to said front-end;

    a rear axle coupled to said chassis member and disposed relatively proximate to said rear end;

    a generally circular saw blade having a circumferential surface region and a blade outer surface region, a centroid of said generally circular saw blade being disposed between said front-end and said rear end, said blade outer surface region being disposed in a plane substantially mutually perpendicular to said front axle and said rear axle;

    a vacuum manifold portion, said vacuum manifold portion including a blade box portion and a hose coupling portion, said blade box portion having a box outer surface region and an inner surface region, said inner surface region defining a recess within said blade box, said blade box portion having a slot surface region disposed between said box outer surface region and said inner surface region and defining a slot adapted to receive a portion of said circular saw blade instantaneously therewithin, whereby a normal operational rotation of said saw blade causes said blade outer surface region to traverse said slot from said box outer surface region towards said inner surface region such that a portion of said circumferential surface region is instantaneously disposed within said recess;

    said hose coupling portion having a generally annular end surface region and an internal surface region, said internal surface region defining a longitudinal cavity through said hose coupling portion, said longitudinal cavity extending between said recess and said generally annular end surface region whereby a reduction of air pressure adjacent said generally annular end surface region tends to motivate a flow of air within said recess past said portion of said circumferential surface region and through said longitudinal cavity, and thereby withdraw a quantity of particulate debris from within said recess.
