First Claim
1. A power transmission device outputting electric power to a power reception device in a contactless manner, said power transmission device comprising:
- a first coil for transmitting electric power to said power reception device in a contactless manner;
a plurality of second coils each for supplying electric power to said first coil in a contactless manner, said electric power being received from a power supply; and
a movement device for moving said first coil relative to said plurality of second coils.

Abstract
A resonant coil transmits electric power to a power reception unit of a vehicle in a contactless manner. Each of a plurality of electromagnetic induction coils is connected to a power supply unit through a power line, and capable of supplying electric power received from the power supply unit to the resonant coil in a contactless manner. A rail is moving device for moving the resonant coil in a range in which electric power can be supplied from any one of the plurality of electromagnetic induction coils to the resonant coil. The resonant coil moves on the rail in accordance with the positional relation with the power reception unit of the vehicle.
