Abstract

An apparatus and a method for editing display information in an electronic device with a touch screen are provided. The method includes, when a first editing event occurs when a first touch is held, determining a service status of the electronic device and storing an object of a first touch point and service status information.

Claims

1. A method for editing an object displayed on a display unit in an electronic device, the method comprising:

when a first editing event occurs when a first touch is held, identifying a service status of the electronic device; and

storing an object of a first touch point and service status information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the object comprises at least one of an application program menu, an icon, a widget, a text, a playlist, and an image.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the service status information comprises at least one of a touch input method, a form of an application program executed in the electronic device, and a form of a user interface displayed on the display unit.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising, after storing the object of the first touch point, removing display of the object of the first touch point from the display unit using a graphic effect in which the display of the object of the first touch point is absorbed into a touch pen or a finger.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting the stored object and service status information to a server.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising, upon receipt of an object request signal from a second electronic device, transmitting the stored object and service status information to the second electronic device.

23. A non-transitory computer readable medium for storing a computer program of instructions configured to be readable by at least one processor for instructing the at least one processor to execute a computer process for performing the method of claim 1.

7. A method for editing an object displayed on a display unit in an electronic device, the method comprising:

determining if at least one object for a pasting service exists;

when the at least one object for the pasting service exists, identifying a service status of the electronic device;

arranging the at least one object for the pasting service according to the service status of the electronic device; and

displaying on the display unit the arranged at least one object.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the object comprises at least one of an application program menu, an icon, a widget, a text, a playlist, and an image.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the service status information comprises at least one of a touch input method, a form of an application program executed in the electronic device, and a form of a user interface displayed on the display unit.

10. The method of claim 7, wherein the displaying of the at least one object on the display unit comprises, if a touch of a touch pen or a finger is detected, displaying the at least one object on the display unit using a graphic effect in which the arranged at least one object is discharged from the touch pen or the finger.

11. The method of claim 7, wherein the determining of the at least one object for the pasting service exists comprises:

if the pasting event occurs, requesting the at least one object for the pasting service to a counterpart electronic device; and

determining if the electronic device receives the at least one object for the pasting service from the counterpart electronic device.

12. An electronic device comprising:

a touch screen configured to detect a presence and a location of a touch;

at least one processor configured to execute computer programs, when a first editing event takes place when a first touch is held, to identify a service status of the electronic device, and to store an object of a first touch point and service status information; and

a memory configured to store data, instructions, and a program driven by the at least one processor.

13. The device of claim 12, wherein the object comprises at least one of an application program menu, an icon, a widget, a text, a playlist, and an image.

14. The device of claim 12, wherein the service status information comprises at least one of a touch input method, a form of an application program executed in the electronic device, and a form of a user interface displayed on the touch screen.

15. The device of claim 12, wherein, after storing the object of the first touch point, the at least one processor is further configured to remove display of the object of the first touch point from the touch screen using a graphic effect in which the display of the object of the first touch point is absorbed into a touch pen or a finger.

16. The device of claim 12, wherein the at least one processor is further configured to transmit the stored object and service status information to a server.

17. The device of claim 12, wherein, upon receipt of an object request signal from a second electronic device, the at least one processor is further configured to transmit the stored object and service status information to the second electronic device.

18. An electronic device comprising:

a touch screen configured to detect a presence and a location of a touch;

at least one processor configured to execute computer programs, to determine if at least one object for a pasting service exists, when the at least one object for the pasting service exists, to identify a service status of the electronic device, to arrange the at least one object for the pasting service according to the service status of the electronic device, and to display on the touch screen the arranged at least one; and

a memory configured to store data, instructions, and a program driven by the at least one processor.

19. The device of claim 18, wherein the at least one object comprises at least one of an application program menu, an icon, a widget, a text, a playlist, and an image.

20. The device of claim 18, wherein the service status information comprises at least one of a touch input method, a form of an application program executed in the electronic device, and a form of a user interface displayed on the touch screen.

21. The device of claim 18, wherein, when a touch of a touch pen or a finger is detected, the at least one processor is further configured to display the at least one object on the touch screen using a graphic effect in which the arranged at least one object is discharged from the touch pen or the finger.

22. The device of claim 18, wherein, when the pasting event occurs, the at least one processor is further configured to request the at least one object for the pasting service to a counterpart electronic device, and receive the at least one object for the pasting service from the counterpart electronic device.
