Abstract

In some implementations, a system causes a set of main tabs to be displayed at a first portion of a display. The system is configured to receive a user selection of a selected main tab. In response, the system causes a set of secondary tabs to be displayed at a second portion of the display. The system is configured to receive user input to manipulate the secondary tabs causing a rearrangement of the secondary tabs into a new order and/or causing one or more of the secondary tabs to be hidden. Based on the user input, the system causes the manipulated set of secondary tabs to be displayed and stores information defining the manipulated set of secondary tabs. Upon a subsequent access by the user of a database object associated with the selected main tab, the system causes the manipulated set of secondary tabs to be displayed.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

causing a set of one or more main tabs to be displayed at a first portion of a display, each main tab linked with a database object stored in a database;

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the main tabs, the selected main tab linked with an associated database object;

in response to the user selection, causing a set of two or more secondary tabs to be displayed in a first, default order at a second portion of the display, each of the secondary tabs linked with a portion of the database object associated with the selected main tab;

receiving user input to manipulate one or more of the secondary tabs, the user input causing a rearrangement of the set of secondary tabs into a new order and/or causing one or more of the secondary tabs to be hidden from view on the display;

based on the user input, displaying the manipulated set of secondary tabs;

storing information defining the manipulated set of secondary tabs to the database in association with information identifying the user; and

upon a subsequent access by the user of the database object associated with the selected main tab, displaying the manipulated set of secondary tabs.

2. The method of claim 1, further including:

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the secondary tabs;

causing data for the corresponding linked portion of the database object associated with the corresponding main tab to be displayed at a third portion of the display.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein:

in response to receiving the user input to manipulate one or more of the secondary tabs, a hide container is caused to be displayed on the display;

the user input includes user input to move one or more of secondary tabs to the hide container; and

in response to moving the one or more secondary tabs to the hide container, the one or more secondary tabs are caused to be hidden from view on the display.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein, after the user input, the hide container is caused to be removed from the display.

5. The method of claim 3, wherein upon selection of the hide container, one or more of the hidden secondary tabs are caused to be displayed and are user-selectable.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein at least one of the secondary tabs includes a set of two or more sub-tabs, each sub-tab linked with one or more child database objects of the database object associated with the selected main tab.

7. The method of claim 6, further including:

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the sub-tabs;

causing data for the corresponding child database object associated with the corresponding sub-tab to be displayed at a third portion of the display.

8. The method of claim 6, further including:

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the secondary tabs;

in response to the user selection of the selected secondary tab, causing a set of two or more sub-tabs to be displayed in a second, default order at a third portion of the display;

receiving second user input to manipulate one or more of the sub-tabs, the user input causing a rearrangement of the set of sub-tabs into a new order and/or causing one or more of the sub-tabs to be hidden from view on the display;

based on the second user input, displaying the manipulated set of sub-tabs;

storing information defining the manipulated set of sub-tabs to the database in association with information identifying the user; and

upon a subsequent selection of the selected secondary tab, displaying the manipulated set of sub-tabs.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein:

in response to receiving the second user input to manipulate one or more of the sub-tabs, a hide container is caused to be displayed on the display;

the user input includes user input to move one or more of sub-tabs to the hide container; and

in response to moving the one or more sub-tabs to the hide container, the one or more moved sub-tabs are caused to be hidden from view on the display.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein, after the second user input, the hide container is caused to be removed from the display.

11. The method of claim 9, wherein upon selection of the hide container, one or more of the hidden sub-tabs are caused to be displayed and are user-selectable.

12. A system comprising:

one or more processors;

one or more storage devices storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, are configured to cause operations to be performed including;

causing a set of one or more main tabs to be displayed at a first portion of a display, each main tab linked with a database object stored in a database;

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the main tabs, the selected main tab linked with an associated database object;

in response to the user selection, causing a set of two or more secondary tabs to be displayed in a first, default order at a second portion of the display, each of the secondary tabs linked with a portion of the database object associated with the selected main tab;

receiving user input to manipulate one or more of the secondary tabs, the user input causing a rearrangement of the set of secondary tabs into a new order and/or causing one or more of the secondary tabs to be hidden from view on the display;

based on the user input, displaying the manipulated set of secondary tabs;

storing information defining the manipulated set of secondary tabs to the database in association with information identifying the user; and

upon a subsequent access by the user of the database object associated with the selected main tab, displaying the manipulated set of secondary tabs.

13. The system of claim 12, wherein the operations further include:

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the secondary tabs;

causing data for the corresponding linked portion of the database object associated with the corresponding main tab to be displayed at a third portion of the display.

14. The system of claim 12, wherein:

in response to receiving the user input to manipulate one or more of the secondary tabs, the operations cause a hide container to be displayed on the display;

the user input includes user input to move one or more of secondary tabs to the hide container; and

in response to moving the one or more secondary tabs to the hide container, the operations cause one or more secondary tabs to be hidden from view on the display.

15. The system of claim 14, wherein, after the user input, the operations cause the hide container to be removed from the display.

16. The system of claim 14, wherein upon selection of the hide container, the operations cause one or more of the hidden secondary tabs to be displayed and wherein the hidden secondary tabs are user-selectable.

17. The system of claim 12, wherein at least one of the secondary tabs includes a set of two or more sub-tabs, each sub-tab linked with one or more child database objects of the database object associated with the selected main tab.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the operations further include:

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the sub-tabs;

causing data for the corresponding child database object associated with the corresponding sub-tab to be displayed at a third portion of the display.

19. The system of claim 17, wherein the operations further include:

receiving a user selection of a selected one of the secondary tabs;

in response to the user selection of the selected secondary tab, causing a set of two or more sub-tabs to be displayed in a second, default order at a third portion of the display;

receiving second user input to manipulate one or more of the sub-tabs, the user input causing a rearrangement of the set of sub-tabs into a new order and/or causing one or more of the sub-tabs to be hidden from view on the display;

based on the second user input, displaying the manipulated set of sub-tabs;

storing information defining the manipulated set of sub-tabs to the database in association with information identifying the user; and

upon a subsequent selection of the selected secondary tab, displaying the manipulated set of sub-tabs.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein:

in response to receiving the second user input to manipulate one or more of the sub-tabs, a hide container is caused to be displayed on the display;

the user input includes user input to move one or more of sub-tabs to the hide container; and

in response to moving the one or more sub-tabs to the hide container, the one or more moved sub-tabs are caused to be hidden from view on the display.

21. The system of claim 20, wherein, after the second user input, the operations cause the hide container to be removed from the display.

22. The system of claim 20, wherein upon selection of the hide container, the operations cause one or more of the hidden sub-tabs to be displayed and to be user-selectable.
