1. A method, comprising:
- receiving touch input data indicating touch inputs on a touch surface of a touch sensing device, and determining from said touch input data;
a first touch input from a first object at a first position on the touch surface, anda second touch input from a second object at a second position on the touch surface and while continuous contact of said first and second objects with the touch surface is maintained;
determining from said touch input data a distance d1 between the first and second objects, and increasing the size of a first area of a graphical element visible via the touch surface if the distance increases, and decreasing the size of the first area of graphical element if the distance decreases;
determining from said touch input data that an increased pressure compared to a threshold of at least one of the first and second touch inputs has occurred, and thereby;
halting the increasing or the decreasing the size of the first area of the graphical element; and
determining a distance d2 between the first and second objects;
determining from said touch input data that the distance between the first and second objects has decreased compared to the distance d2, andcropping the first area of the graphical element in relation to the decrease of the distance, whereby a cropped element of the graphical element is defined.

Abstract
The disclosure relates to a method whereby a user is provided with a gesture for e.g. editing work on a touch sensing device. By using two objects, e.g. two fingers, on a touch surface of the touch sensing device the user may zoom in or zoom out of a graphical element, halt the zooming, and thereafter crop the graphical element to define a new cropped element of the graphical element. The method makes use of a distance between the two objects, which is determined and monitored. The disclosure also relates to a gesture interpretation unit and to a touch sensing device.

A gesture interpretation unit comprising a processor configured to receive a touch signal sx comprising touch input data indicating touch inputs on a touch surface of a touch sensing device, the gesture interpretation unit further comprising a computer readable storage medium storing instructions operable to cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

determining from said touch input data; a first touch input from a first object at a first position on the touch surface, and a second touch input from a second object at a second position on the touch surface; and
while continuous contact of said first and second objects with the touch surface is maintained;determining from said touch input data a distance d1 between the first and second objects, generating a first signal for increasing the size of a first area of a graphical element visible via the touch surface if the distance increases, and generating a second signal for decreasing the size of the first area of the graphical element if the distance decreases; determining from said touch input data that an increased pressure compared to a threshold of at least one of the first and second touch inputs has occurred, and thereby; halting generating any of the first and the second signal for increasing and decreasing the size of the first area of the graphical element, respectively; determining a distance d2 between the first and second objects; determining from said touch input data that the distance between the first and second objects has decreased compared to the distance d2, and cropping the first area of the graphical element in relation to the decrease of the distance, whereby a cropped element of the graphical element is defined. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
