Abstract

A method is provided for utilizing a personal monitoring device or other personal logging device, to assist an individual in a lifestyle control program. The method includes storing lifestyle data from a statistically large group of persons in a database, collecting, in a personal logging device, corresponding personal lifestyle data; feeding the data from the personal logging device to the database; performing a statistical analysis of the collected lifestyle data, and producing an output and providing feedback to the user based on correlations.

Claims

1. A system for using telemetry data based on user habit information or user monitoring, comprising:

a monitoring device with one or more sensors of a monitoring device that detect or measure user information selected from of at least one of, a user'"'"'s activities, behaviors and habit information, and a user'"'"'s health, the monitoring device including ID circuitry with an ID storage that contains a unique user ID, a communication system which reads and transmits the unique user ID from the ID storage, a power source and a pathway system;

a telemetry system with a database of user ID'"'"'s and in communication with the monitoring device;

an activity manager that associates one or more contexts of a user activity or health; and

a feedback control system or subsystem that analyzes a measured sensor signal from at least one of the sensors and in response provides a feedback signal or alert to the user.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the feedback control system or subsystem is at the telemetry system.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the feedback control system or subsystem is at the monitoring device.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the feedback control system or subsystem is standalone.

5. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

wherein the monitoring device in operate communicates the feedback signal or alert to the user.

6. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

a closed-loop system that provides control data to the monitoring device.

7. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

at least one of a audio device or display at the monitoring system to communicate the feedback to the user.

The system of claim 1, wherein the feedback signal or alert is selected from at least one of, lifestyle parameters, medical conditions, lifestyle events, exercise parameters, battery of the monitoring device, sensor function, pending therapy delivery, medical alerts, a status of a medical condition and a medical measurement or parameter.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the telemetry system in operation compares a measured sensor signal from a sensor to a threshold level.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein the threshold level is predefined or tailored relative to a monitoring device user or patient.

The system of claim 1, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation provides that when the measured sensor signal does not equal or exceed the threshold level, the measured sensor signal or is adjusted until the measured sensor signal falls within a desired range of an expected threshold level.

The system of claim 11, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation provides that when the desired feedback signal or alert level is reached, the feedback or alert signal responses are maintained at the current settings to maintain the measured sensor signal within the desired range of the threshold.

13. The system of claim 11, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation detects an amplitude or frequency of the measured sensor signal.

14. The system of claim 11, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation recognizes an intended alert pattern based on a morphology of the measured sensor signal.

15. The system of claim 11, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation analyzes a frequency power band of the measured sensor signal for correspondence to frequency and amplitude.

16. The system of claim 11, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation evaluates a measured sensor signal waveform for correspondence to a frequency or amplitude.

17. The system of claim 1, wherein the feedback system or subsystem in operation terminates the feedback signal or alert if a predetermined maximum alert duration has expired.

18. The system of claim 1, wherein when a maximum feedback signal or alert duration is not reached, the feedback signal or alert is held at current signal settings.
