Abstract

A window member includes: a glass member; a display member wherein the glass member has a bottom surface which faces and overlays the display member and a pattern layer provided on a first surface of the glass member and having a fine pattern. The pattern layer is silk-screen printed on the first surface of the glass member to directly contact the surface of the glass member. A method of manufacturing a window member, includes: forming a pattern layer such that the pattern layer contacts a surface of the glass member along a periphery of the glass member. The pattern layer is formed at a location which is offset inward from a periphery of the glass member.

Claims

1. A window member comprising:

a glass member;

a display member wherein the glass member has a bottom surface which faces and overlays the display member, and

a pattern layer provided on a first surface of the glass member and having a fine pattern,

wherein the pattern layer is silk-screen printed on the first surface of the glass member to directly contact the surface of the glass member.

2. The window member of claim 1, wherein the pattern layer is located on the first surface of the glass member to have an offset position with respect to the glass surface, wherein the offset is arranged inward from a periphery of the glass member by a predetermined distance.

3. The window member of claim 2, wherein the predetermined distance is less than 0.5 mm.

The window member of claim 1, wherein the pattern layer has one or more fine patterns having elements forming the one or more fine patterns wherein the one or more fine patterns are selected from patterns such as a hair line, a grid, and a polygonal shape, and wherein the fine pattern is formed in either a regular or irregular arrangement.

5. The window member of claim 4, wherein an interval between the elements of the fine patterns is less than 50 μ

m.

6. The window member of claim 1, wherein the pattern layer is obtained by imprinting the fine patterns on a surface of a partially cured pre-pattern layer, the pre-pattern layer formed by silk-screen printing a transparent ultraviolet curing resin onto the first surface of the glass member.

7. The window member of claim 1, further comprising a deposition layer to provide a predetermined pattern appearance and texture obtained by depositing a metal material on a surface of the pattern layer.

8. The window member of claim 7, further comprising one or more print layers formed on a surface of the deposition layer.

19. The window member according to claim 8, wherein the print layer is formed along a periphery of the glass member.

20. The window member according to claim 8, wherein the print layer is a chromatic layer.

9. A window member comprising:

a glass member;

a display member wherein the glass member has a bottom surface which faces and overlays the display member,

a pattern layer silk-screen printed on a first surface of the glass member by using a transparent ultraviolet curing resin and having a fine pattern, the fine pattern having elements positioned in a predetermined arrangement;

a deposition layer deposited in an interconnected design on the pattern layer; and

one or more print layers provided on the surface of the deposition layer,

wherein the pattern layer directly contacts a surface of the glass member and is formed to have an inward offset position with respect to a periphery of the glass member, wherein the pattern layer is silk-screen printed on the first surface of the glass member to directly contact the surface of the glass member.

10. A method of manufacturing a window member, the method comprising:

forming a pattern layer such that the pattern layer contacts a surface of a glass member along a periphery of the glass member,

wherein the pattern layer is formed at an offset position with respect to the surface of the glass member, wherein the offset is arranged inward from a periphery of the glass member by a predetermined distance.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein forming of a pattern layer comprises:

silk-screen printing one surface of a glass member with a transparent ultraviolet curing resin to form a pre-pattern layer;

partially curing the pre-pattern layer with an ultraviolet light;

forming a fine pattern on one surface of the pre-pattern layer; and

completely curing the pre-pattern layer having the fine pattern and finishing the pre-pattern layer as the pattern layer.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein forming a fine pattern comprises, disposing a transfer film to face the pre-pattern layer, and

transferring a pattern of the transfer film to a surface of the pre-pattern layer by pressing the transfer film into the pre-pattern layer with a mold or a roller.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the fine pattern is comprised of elements, wherein the elements have an interval of less than 50 μ

m and are formed regularly.

The method of claim 12, wherein the transfer film is provided on a silk screen printing screen, and the pattern of the transfer film is transferred to a surface of the pre-pattern layer by squeezing the silk screen to contact a surface of the partially cured pre-pattern layer using a mold or a roller.

15. The method of claim 10, wherein the predetermined distance for the offset is less than 0.5 mm.

16. The method of claim 11, further comprising forming a deposition layer on the pattern layer by depositing a metal material on a surface of the pattern layer to provide a predetermined pattern appearance and texture.

17. The method of claim 11, further comprising forming one or more print layers on the pattern layer.

18. The method of claim 10, wherein forming the pattern layer in the glass member comprises fixing the glass member to a jig.
