Abstract

A room or area designed to facilitate a plurality of users moving while they learn, work, or participate in a simulation. sensor relays aid this process by sending and receiving user information to a central hub, a movement device, one another or any combination of the three, in order to safely benefit the users coordination, exercise, or concentration while multitasking, according to their own user defined set points, a set of default set points, or set points determined by an external observer. This room or area may be further enhanced in applications where a treadmill or moving walkway is present.

Claims

1. An area comprising:

one or more sensor relays;

one or more output devices;

one or more of movement devices; and

one or more computer processors that;

receive a signal from any of the one or more sensor relays, detecting the information related to the user;

analyze the detected information;

and either;

send a signal to any of the one or more output devices, instructing the decision maker;

or

send a signal to any of the movement devices, controlling said movement devices.

2. An area as described in claim 1, wherein said area is a room.

3. A room as described in claim 2 wherein any of the movement devices is a moving walkway further comprising:

a standing desk.

4. A room as described in claim 3 wherein said standing desk moves through any of the following means:

a direct attachment to the user;

a motor which moves the standing desk in response to user movement as detected by any or any combination of sensor relays;

any part of the moving platform moving;

or any combination therein.

11. The room described in claim 1 wherein an observer can control the movement devices of a plurality of users, the output devices for a plurality of users, or any combination therein.

12. The room described in claim 1 wherein a movement device may be a moving walkway which moves around the perimeter of the room.

13. The room described in claim 12 further comprising a plurality of concentric moving walkways.

14. The room described in claim 1 further comprising any number of moving walkways which rotate around the room from the floor to the ceiling.

15. The room described in claim 14 further comprising a physical means of assisting the user in walking the entire length of any of the moving walkways, including but not limited to:

handle bars on the wall and ceiling placed on either side of the moving walkway;

magnetic shoes;

magnetic rollers;

boot guides;

skates the axles of which are imbedded into the moving walkway;

or any combination therein.

17. A method of teaching according to claim 1 further comprising the step of having the student interact with educational material while moving.

18. A method of teaching according to claims 1 further comprising the step of having one or more students interact with each other or with one or more teachers or any combination of students and teachers.

19. A method of teaching according to claims 2 further comprising the step of having one or more students interact with each other or with one or more teachers or any combination of students and teachers.

20. A method of teaching according to one or more of the preceding claims wherein the movement device is one or more treadmills;

one or more moving walkways, or any combination of treadmills and moving walkways

5. A room comprising of one movement device;

Wherein said movement device is a moving walkway;

Wherein said moving walkway spans the entire width of the room.

6. The room as described in claim 5, further comprising one or more platforms.

7. The room described in claim 6, further comprising:

One or more motors;

One or more levers;

One or more pulleys;

Or

Any combination therein;

Wherein said motors, levers, pulleys, or any combination therein may be used to move said platform, such that an observer on said platform may sit, lie, or stand still, while any users not on said platform cannot unless the moving walkway is stationary.

8. The room described in claim 5 further comprising a plurality of platforms.

9. The room described in claim 5 further containing a floor raised any level above the base of said moving walkway, said floor further comprising one or more holes;

Such that a user standing in a hole will be on said moving walkway, whereas an observer not standing in a hole will be on said floor.

10. The room described in claim 9 further comprising:

any number of slits in said moving walkway;

and

any number of rollers in said moving walkway;

such that portions of said moving walkway not covered by said floor may contain raised portions extruding through said holes wherein a user may walk on said moving walkway at an elevation equal to or above said floor.

16. A method of teaching comprising the steps of:

having one or more students in motion through the use of one or more movement devices;

presenting the student with educational material while the student is in motion
