1. A method for controlling access to a plurality of games in a skill-based electronic game network comprising:
- determining a game skill level value for a player in the skill-based electronic game network in accordance with predetermined criteria that includes game playing history of the player,within the electronic game network, classifying the player into at least one of a plurality of predetermined player protection categories and associating a player protection classification value with the player;
within the electronic game network, designating an access protection category for at least one of the plurality of games and associating an access protection classification value with the game; and
providing or denying electronic access to the at least one game to the player based upon a comparison of the player protection classification value of the player and the access protection classification value of the at least one game.
