Abstract
A method, computer program product, and system for performing a dynamic social content selection. According to an embodiment, a method may include determining, via one or more computing devices, a plurality of status indicators available to be associated with social content associated with a first user. The method may also include defining one or more rules for the plurality of status indicators based on, at least in part, a recipient characteristic. The method may further include selecting one of the plurality of status indicators to associate with the content for a second user based on the one or more rules. The method may further include providing the content and the selected one of the plurality of status indicators to the second user.

9. A computer program product residing on a computer readable storage medium having a plurality of instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

at least one processor device; at least one memory architecture coupled with the at least one processor; a first software module executable by the at least one processor and the at least one memory architecture, wherein the first software module is configured to determine a plurality of status indicators available to be associated with social content associated with a first user; a second software module executable by the at least one processor and the at least one memory architecture, wherein the second software module is configured to define one or more rules for the plurality of status indicators based on, at least in part, a recipient characteristic; a third software module executable by the at least one processor and the at least one memory architecture, wherein the second software module is configured to select one of the plurality of status indicators to associate with the content for a second user based on the one or more rules; and a fourth software module executable by the at least one processor and the at least one memory architecture, wherein the second software module is configured to provide the content and the selected one of the plurality of status indicators to the second user. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24)
