1. A non-transitory machine readable medium storing a program that when executed by at least one processing unit provides a graphical user interface (GUI) of a mobile device, the GUI comprising:
- a display area for displaying applications that are accessible in a primary access mode; and
an access mode settings menu comprising (i) a first affordance to enable or disable a secondary access mode on the mobile device and (ii) a plurality of affordances to uniformly enable or disable different groups of applications for the secondary access mode, wherein each group of applications that is disabled is not accessible when the mobile device operates in the secondary access mode.

Some embodiments of the invention provide a mobile device with multiple access modes. The device in some embodiments has at least two access modes, a primary access mode and a secondary access mode, that provide different restrictions for accessing the applications and/or data that are stored on the device.
