Abstract

A control method of a wireless power transmitting unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit is provided. The control method includes receiving first signals from one or more wireless power receiving units; classifying wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units based on reception intensities of the received first signals; transmitting wireless transmission power with predetermined level; receiving second signals including voltage information of the classified wireless power receiving units from the classified wireless power receiving units; and communicating with one or more wireless power receiving unit among the classified wireless power receiving units based on the wireless transmission power and the voltage information of the second signals.

Claims

1. A control method of a wireless power transmitting unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit, the control method comprising:

receiving first signals from one or more wireless power receiving units;

classifying wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units based on reception intensities of the received first signals;

transmitting wireless transmission power with predetermined level;

receiving second signals including voltage information of the classified wireless power receiving units from the classified wireless power receiving units; and

communicating with at least one wireless power receiving unit among the classified wireless power receiving units based on the wireless transmission power and the voltage information of the second signals.

2. The control method of claim 1, wherein the first signal received from each of the one or more wireless power receiving units is an advertisement signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

3. The control method of claim 1, wherein the second signal is a dynamic signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

4. The control method of claim 1, wherein the classifying of the wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units comprises classifying a wireless power receiving unit of which the received first signal is greater than a preset threshold as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

5. The control method of claim 1, wherein the classifying of the wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units comprises:

determining a minimum value of the reception intensities of the received first signals;

setting a preset offset based on the minimum value and determining a determination range of the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with; and

classifying a wireless power receiving unit included in the determination range of the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

The control method of claim 1, wherein the classifying of the wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units comprises grouping the one or more wireless power receiving units based on similarity of the reception intensities of the received first signals.

The control method of claim 1, wherein the first signals include transmission intensity information of the first signals, and the classifying of the wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units comprises determining a path loss of the first signals based on a transmission intensity of the first signals and the reception intensity of the first signals.

8. The control method of claim 7, wherein the classifying of the wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units comprises:

determining a distance between each of the one or more wireless power receiving units of the wireless power transmitting unit based on the path loss; and

classifying a wireless power receiving unit having a distance within a preset threshold as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

9. The control method of claim 1, further comprising:

classifying the at least one wireless power receiving unit of which a voltage is changed in accordance with the wireless transmission power among the classified wireless power receiving units as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

10. A wireless power transmitting unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit, the wireless power transmitting unit comprising:

a communication unit configured to receive first signals from one or more wireless power receiving units;

a controller configured to classify wireless power receiving units to be communicated with from among the one or more wireless power receiving units based on reception intensities of the received first signals; and

a power transmitter that transmits wireless transmission power with predetermined level,

wherein the communication unit receives second signals including voltage information of the classified wireless power receiving units from the classified wireless power receiving units, and

the controller is configured to communicate with at least one wireless power receiving unit among the classified wireless power receiving units based on the wireless transmission power and the voltage information of the second signals.

11. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the first signal received from each of the one or more wireless power receiving units is an advertisement signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

12. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the second signal is a dynamic signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

13. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the controller is configured to classify a wireless power receiving unit of which the received first signal is greater than a preset threshold as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

14. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the controller is configured to determine a minimum value of the reception intensities of the received first signals, set a preset offset based on the minimum value and determine a determination range of the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with, and classify a wireless power receiving unit included in the determination range of the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

15. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the controller is configured to group the one or more wireless power receiving units based on similarity of the reception intensities of the received first signals.

The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the first signals include transmission intensity information of the first signals, and the controller is configured to determine a path loss of the first signals based on a transmission intensity of the first signals and the reception intensity of the first signals.

17. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 16, wherein the controller is configured to determine a distance between each of the one or more wireless power receiving units of the wireless power transmitting unit based on the path loss, and classifies a wireless power receiving unit having a distance within a preset threshold as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

18. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 10, wherein the controller is configured to classify at least one wireless power receiving unit of which a voltage is changed in accordance with the wireless transmission power among the classified wireless power receiving units as the wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with.

19. A control method of a wireless power receiving unit receiving charging power from a wireless power transmitting unit, the control method comprising:

transmitting a first signal for searching for a wireless power transmitting unit to the wireless power transmitting unit;

receiving changed power from the wireless power transmitting unit;

generating a second signal including information on a changed voltage value in accordance with the changed power; and

transmitting the second signal to the wireless power transmitting unit.

20. The control method of claim 19, wherein the first signal received from the wireless power receiving unit is an advertisement signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

21. The control method of claim 19, wherein the second signal is a dynamic signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

22. A wireless power receiving unit receiving charging power from a wireless power transmitting unit, the wireless power receiving unit comprising:

a communication unit configured to transmit a first signal for searching for a wireless power transmitting unit to the wireless power transmitting unit and to receive changed power from the wireless power transmitting unit; and

a controller configured to generate a second signal including information on a changed voltage value in accordance with the changed power and to control the communication unit to transmit the second signal to the wireless power transmitting unit.

23. The wireless power receiving unit of claim 22, wherein the first signal received from the wireless power receiving unit is an advertisement signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

24. The wireless power receiving unit of claim 22, wherein the second signal is a dynamic signal of a Bluetooth low energy communication scheme.

25. A control method of a wireless power transmitting unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit, the control method comprising:

receiving a first signal from the wireless power receiving unit;

determining whether the wireless power receiving unit is a cross-connected wireless power receiving unit based on a reception intensity of the received first signal;

when it is determined that the wireless power receiving unit is not the cross-connected wireless power receiving unit, changing power transmitted to the wireless power receiving unit;

receiving a second signal including voltage information of the wireless power receiving unit from the wireless power receiving unit; and

determining whether the wireless power receiving unit is a wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with based on the wireless transmission power and the voltage information of the second signal.

26. A wireless power transmitting power unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit, the wireless power transmitting unit comprising:

a communication unit configured to receive a first signal from the wireless power receiving unit;

a controller configured to determine whether the wireless power receiving unit is a cross-connected wireless power receiving unit based on a reception intensity of the received first signal; and

a power transmitter configured to change power transmitted to the wireless power receiving unit when it is determined that the wireless power receiving unit is not the cross-connected wireless power receiving unit,

wherein the communication unit is configured to receive a second signal including voltage information of the wireless power receiving unit from the wireless power receiving unit, and

the controller is configured to determine whether the wireless power receiving unit is a wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with based on the wireless transmission power and the voltage information of the second signal.

27. A control method of a wireless power transmitting unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit, the control method comprising:

detecting a load change;

receiving a first signal from the wireless power receiving unit;

determining a reception time of the first signal and a detection time of the load change; and

determining that the wireless power receiving unit is a wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with when the reception time of the first signal and the detection time of the load change are within a preset time.

29. A wireless power transmitting unit transmitting charging power to a wireless power receiving unit, the wireless power transmitting unit comprising:

a power transmitter configured to transmit charging power to the wireless power receiving unit;

a controller configured to apply detection power to the power transmitter and to detect a load change; and

a communication unit configured to receive a first signal from the wireless power receiving unit,

wherein the controller is configured to determine a reception time of the first signal and a detection time of the load change, and to determine that the wireless power receiving unit is a wireless power receiving unit to be communicated with when the reception time of the first signal and the detection time of the load change are within a preset time.

28. The control method of claim 29, wherein determining the detection time of the load change comprises:

determining whether the wireless power receiving unit is a cross-connected wireless power receiving unit based on a reception intensity of the received first signal; and

determining the reception time of the first signal and the detection time of the load change when it is determined that the wireless power receiving unit is not the cross-connected wireless power receiving unit.

30. The wireless power transmitting unit of claim 29, wherein the controller configured to determine the wireless power receiving unit is a cross-connected wireless power receiving unit based on a reception intensity of the received first signal, and to determine the reception time of the first signal and the detection time of the load change when it is determined that the wireless power receiving unit is not the cross-connected wireless power receiving unit.
