DISPLAY UNIT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
First Claim
1. A display unit, comprising:
- a display panel including a substrate on which a plurality of display devices are formed, and a protective film formed directly on both (a) the substrate and (b) the plurality of display devices, for protecting the plurality of display devices; and
a flexible touch panel which (a) is composed of plastic films, (b) has a whole face that is directly bonded to a whole face of the display panel with a first adhesive layer in between, and (c) detects contact with a suitable contact element thereon, wherein,the entire face of the display panel includes a sealing panel formed directly on (a) a second adhesive layer and (b) at least one filter,the first adhesive layer is in direct contact with both the sealing panel and one of the plastic films of the flexible touch panel,each of the plurality of the display devices has an organic emitting layer made of an organic electro luminescence material,the protective film seals the plurality of display devices from the flexible touch panel,the plurality of display devices are isolated from the flexible touch panel, andthe at least one filter is configured to lower a reflectance of outside lights.

Abstract
The invention provides a display unit which can realize reduction in thickness and weight of the display unit by omitting a void between a touch panel and a display panel, and its manufacturing method. Whole faces of the touch panel and the display panel are directly bonded together with an adhesive layer in between. The display panel has a structure wherein a driving substrate in which organic light emitting devices are formed and a sealing substrate are bonded together with an adhesive layer in between. The touch panel has a structure wherein a lower plastic film in which a transparent electrode is formed and a touch-side plastic film in which a transparent electrode is formed are layered so that the transparent electrodes are placed opposite. The display panel is constructed with only the driving substrate, and the organic light emitting devices are sealed by the touch panel instead of the sealing substrate. Therefore, thickness and weight of the display unit can be further reduced.

a display panel including a substrate on which a plurality of display devices are formed, and a protective film formed on the plurality of display devices, for protecting the plurality of display devices; and the touch panel is bonded on a side where the plurality of the display devices of the substrate are formed with a first adhesive layer in between, and configured to detect contact with a suitable contact element thereon, wherein, the plurality of the display devices are sealed by the touch panel, each of the plurality of the display devices has an organic emitting layer made of an organic electro luminescence material, and the at least one filter is configured to lower a reflectance of outside lights.
