1. A radiopaque stent comprising:

  • a plurality of elongate filaments, the plurality of filaments are braided or woven to form a hollow tubular structure having a tubular wall that defines an inner surface and an outer surface and opposing first open end and second open end;

    the braided or woven hollow tubular structure comprises a plurality of recesses formed by an intersection the braided or woven plurality of filaments;

    at least one of the first open end and the second open end are formed by an intersection of adjacent ends of the plurality of filaments;

    a plurality of recesses formed by a plurality of intersections of the plurality of filaments; and

    a radiopaque composition comprising radiopaque material and polymeric material is disposed in one or more of the plurality of recesses wherein the radiopaque compound improves external imaging of the tubular structure on imaging equipment.
