Abstract

According to one embodiment, a receipt data processing device includes an obtaining section, a data generating section, and an output section. The obtaining section is configured to obtain customer code of a customer who purchased an item. The data generating section configured to generate receipt data including information about the purchased item, and include the customer code in the receipt data when the customer code is obtained. The output section is configured to output the receipt data to a certain destination based on whether or not the receipt data includes the customer code.

Claims

1. A receipt data processing device comprising:

an obtaining section configured to obtain customer code of a customer who purchased an item;

a data generating section configured to generate receipt data including information about the purchased item, and include the customer code in the receipt data when the customer code is obtained; and

an output section configured to output the receipt data to a certain destination based on whether or not the receipt data includes the customer code.

2. The receipt data processing device according to claim 1, wherein

the output section is configured to output the receipt data to a printing device when the receipt data does not include the customer code.

3. The receipt data processing device according to claim 2, wherein

the output section is configured to output the receipt data to an external device that is different from the printing device when the receipt data includes the customer code.

4. The receipt data processing device according to claim 1, wherein

the output section is configured to output the receipt data to an external device that is configured to store the receipt data when the receipt data includes the customer code.

5. The receipt data processing device according to claim 1, further comprising:

an operating unit with which an operator can select one or more destinations to which the output section outputs the receipt data,

wherein the output section outputs the receipt data to the selected destinations when the receipt data includes the customer code.

6. The receipt data processing device according to claim 1, wherein

the obtaining section is further configured to obtain a destination information indicating one or more destinations to which the output section outputs the receipt data, and

the output section is configured to output the receipt data to the destinations indicated by the obtained destination information when the receipt data includes the customer code.

7. The receipt data processing device according to claim 6, wherein

the obtaining section is configured to obtain the customer code and the destination information from a communication device carried by the customer.

8. A method for processing receipt data, comprising:

carrying out an obtaining process to obtain customer code of a customer who purchased an item;

generating receipt data including information about the purchased item;

including the customer code to the receipt data when the customer code is obtained; and

outputting the receipt data to a certain destination based on whether or not the receipt data includes the customer code.

9. The method according to claim 8, wherein

the receipt data is output to a printing device when the receipt data does not include the customer code.

10. The method according to claim 9, wherein

the receipt data is output to an external device that is different from the printing device when the receipt data includes the customer code.

11. The method according to claim 8, wherein

the receipt data is output to an external device that is configured to store the receipt data when the receipt data includes the customer code.

12. The method according to claim 8, further comprising:

recognizing an input by an operator that selects one or more destinations to which the receipt data is output,

wherein the receipt data is output to the selected destinations when the receipt data includes the customer code.

13. The method according to claim 8, further comprising:

obtaining a destination information indicating one or more destinations to which the receipt data is to be output,

wherein the receipt data is output to the destinations indicated by the destination information when the receipt data includes the customer code.

14. The method according to claim 13, wherein

the destination information is obtained from a communication device carried by the customer.

15. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a program that is executable in a computer system to cause the computer system to perform a method for processing receipt data, the method comprising:

carrying out an obtaining process to obtain customer code of a customer who purchased an item;

generating receipt data including information about the purchased item;

including the customer code to the receipt data when the customer code is obtained; and

outputting the receipt data to a certain destination based on whether or not the receipt data includes the customer code.

16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein

the receipt data is output to a printing device when the receipt data does not include the customer code.

17. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein

the receipt data is output to an external device that is configured to store the receipt data when the receipt data includes the customer code.

18. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein the method further comprises:

recognizing an input by an operator that selects one or more destinations to which the receipt data is output,

wherein the receipt data is output to the selected destinations when the receipt data includes the customer code.

19. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 15, wherein the method further comprises:

obtaining a destination information indicating one or more destinations to which the receipt data is to be output,

wherein the receipt data is output to the destinations indicated by the destination information when the receipt data includes the customer code.

20. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 19, wherein

the destination information is obtained from a communication device carried by the customer.
