Abstract

A method for transmitting/receiving data in a wireless access system, and a base station (BS) and a user equipment (UE) for the same are disclosed. The method for performing synchronization with a neighbor base station (BS) of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless access system includes, if a user equipment (UE) based on a macro BS is located at a boundary of the neighbor BS, measuring a synchronization channel of the neighbor BS, wherein a subframe of the neighbor BS includes an additional secondary synchronization signal (SSS) so as to perform synchronization with the neighbor BS.

Claims

1. A method for performing synchronization with a neighbor base station (BS) of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless access system, the method comprising:

if a user equipment (UE) based on a macro BS is located at a boundary of the neighbor BS, measuring a synchronization channel of the neighbor BS,

wherein a subframe of the neighbor BS includes an additional secondary synchronization signal (SSS) so as to perform synchronization with the neighbor BS.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the additional SSS is located in a subframe established as an almost blank subframe (ABS) in the macro BS.

3. The method according to claim 2, wherein at least one additional SSS is transmitted within one subframe.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein the additional SSS is located in a subframe having no CRS (Common Reference Signal).

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the additional SSS is allocated to a fixed position, and includes specific information indicating the presence or absence of the additional SSS.

6. The method according to claim 2, wherein a resource of the macro BS corresponding to a subframe for transmission of the additional SSS is muted.

7. A user equipment (UE) for acquiring synchronization with a neighbor base station (BS) in a wireless access system, the user equipment (UE) comprising:

a processor configured to measure a synchronization channel of the neighbor BS, if a user equipment (UE) based on a macro BS is located at a boundary of the neighbor BS,

wherein a subframe of the neighbor BS includes an additional secondary synchronization signal (SSS) so as to perform synchronization with the neighbor BS.

8. The user equipment (UE) according to claim 7, wherein the additional SSS is located in a subframe established as an almost blank subframe (ABS) in the macro BS.

9. The user equipment (UE) according to claim 7, wherein at least one additional SSS is transmitted within one subframe.

10. The user equipment (UE) according to claim 7, wherein the additional SSS is located in a subframe having no CRS (Common Reference Signal).

11. The user equipment (UE) according to claim 7, wherein the additional SSS is allocated to a fixed position, and includes specific information indicating the presence or absence of the additional SSS.

12. The user equipment (UE) according to claim 7, wherein a resource of the macro BS corresponding to a subframe for transmission of the additional SSS is muted.
