Abstract

A health monitoring system receives a health condition reading from a mobile device. The health condition reading is compared to ranges of data defining acceptable health conditions. If the health condition reading lies outside one of the ranges of data, then an alert may be generated and sent to the mobile device. The alert informs a user that the health condition reading is unacceptable, perhaps requiring medical attention.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

receiving, by a server, a health condition reading associated with a mobile device;

sending, from the server, the health condition reading to a home location register;

receiving, by the server, a response from the home location register, the response indicating the health condition reading lies outside a range of data; and

sending, by the server, an alert to the mobile device describing the health condition reading.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising processing a call from the server to the mobile device.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising processing a call from the server to an emergency number.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising retrieving a medical instruction.

5. The method of claim 4, further comprising sending the medical instruction to the mobile device.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising retrieving a contact address associated with an address of the mobile device.

7. The method of claim 6, further comprising sending a notification to the contact address.

8. A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory storing programming that when executed cause the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising;

receiving a health condition reading sent from a mobile device;

sending the health condition reading to a home location register;

receiving a response from the home location register, the response indicating the health condition reading lies outside a range of data; and

sending an alert to the mobile device describing the health condition reading.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise processing a call to the mobile device.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise processing a call to an emergency number.

11. The system of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise retrieving a medical instruction.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the operations further comprise sending the medical instruction to the mobile device.

13. The system of claim 8, wherein the operations further comprise retrieving a contact address associated with an address of the mobile device.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the operations further comprise sending a notification to the contact address.

15. A method, comprising:

receiving, at a home location register, a health condition reading associated with an address of a mobile device;

comparing, by the home location register, the health condition reading to a profile associated with the address of the mobile device;

determining, by the home location register, that the health condition reading lies outside a medical range of data; and

sending an alert to the address associated with the mobile device, the alert describing the health condition reading lies outside the medical range of data.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising retrieving a medical instruction.

17. The method of claim 16, further comprising sending the medical instruction to the address associated with the mobile device.

18. The method of claim 15, further comprising retrieving a contact address associated with the address.

19. The method of claim 18, further comprising sending a notification to the contact address.

20. The method of claim 15, further comprising sending the alert to an emergency address.
