Abstract

Disclosed herein is a method for performing an integrated payment using Near Field Communication (NFC). The method is performed using a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal receives Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag information from a payment system in an NFC scheme. The mobile terminal analyzes the received RFID tag information, and then extracts an integrated payment application which corresponds to the RFID tag information. The mobile terminal drives the integrated payment application and transmits discount benefit information to the payment system.

Claims

1. A method for performing an integrated payment at a mobile terminal which is configured to communicate with a payment system via a Near Field Communication (NFC), the method comprising:

driving an integrated payment application which is stored in the mobile terminal;

searching, by the integrated payment application, for a plurality of discount benefit items among various types of discount benefit items stored in the mobile terminal, the plurality of discount benefit items being configured to be applied to a product that a customer desires to pay for;

transmitting information related to the plurality of discount benefit items to the payment system;

receiving a final payment amount which reflects at least one of the plurality of discount benefit items from the payment system; and

receiving, from the payment system, information about an update of at least one of the various types of discount benefit items.

The method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting a payment amount check response message to the payment system, the payment amount check response message being transmitted in response to a payment amount check request message which includes the final payment amount and is transmitted from the payment system.

3. The method of claim 2, further comprising receiving a payment check message from the payment system, the payment check message being transmitted from the payment system when a payment process has completed.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising determining the at least one of the plurality of discount benefit items among the plurality of discount benefit items based on a selection of a user.

5. The method of claim 4, further comprising determining a priority applicable to the at least one of the plurality of discount benefit items based on a selection of the user.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one of the plurality of discount benefit items is selected among the plurality of discount benefit items based on validities of the plurality of discount benefit items, the validities being checked by the payment system.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the various types of discount benefit items includes at least one of a discount coupon, a discount membership, a stamp accumulation, and a point accumulation.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the payment system includes at least one of a RFID payment machine, a point of sale system, a benefit item support server and a payment server.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile terminal includes identity module which stores all or part of the integrated payment application.

10. The method of claim 1, further comprising

receiving RFID tag information from the product;

and

searching an application table for the integrated payment application to be driven which corresponds to the RFID tag information.

11. A method for performing an integrated payment at a payment system which is configured to communicate with a mobile terminal via a Near Field Communication (NFC), the method comprising:

receiving information related to various types of discount benefit items from the mobile terminal, the various types of discount benefit items are selected by a single integrated payment application located in the mobile terminal;

checking a validity of one or more items of the various types of discount benefit items;

calculating a final payment amount which reflects at least one valid item of the one or more items;

transmitting the final payment amount to the mobile terminal; and

transmitting information about an update of at least one of the various types of discount benefit items to the mobile terminal.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising determining the one or more items among the various types of discount benefit items based on a selection of a user.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising determining a priority applicable to the one or more items based on a selection of the user.

14. The method of claim 11, further comprising receiving a payment amount check response message from the mobile terminal, the payment amount check response message being transmitted in response to a payment amount check request message which includes the final payment amount and is transmitted from the payment system to the mobile terminal.

15. The method of claim 14, further comprising processing a payment of the final payment amount.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the processing is performed using at least one of credit card or electronic money.

17. The method of claim 15, further comprising transmitting a payment check message to the mobile terminal, the payment check message being transmitted to the mobile terminal when the processing has completed.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein the payment system includes at least one of a RFID payment machine, a point of sale system, a benefit item support server and a payment server.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein the checking is performed by one or more benefit item support servers which correspond to the one or more items, the one or more benefit item support servers being included in the payment system.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the processing is performed by a payment server, the payment server being included in the payment system.
