Abstract

A battery system includes a battery, a control section that controls the battery to charge electric power supplied from the electrical grid and to discharge electric power to the electrical grid; and a system controller. The system controller controls the control section such that the battery system operates in a first mode where electric power that is generated by a pre-designated distributed electric power source associated with the electrical grid is supplied preferentially to a user'"'"'s load or in a second mode where electric power that is charged in the battery is supplied preferentially to the user'"'"'s load.

Claims

1. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power generated by a photo voltaic generation device, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load, and configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

2. The battery system according to claim 1, wherein

said controller is further configured to, if the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load is insufficient, control the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load.

3. The battery system according to claim 2, wherein

the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load has a higher priority that the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load.

4. The battery system according to claim 1, wherein

said controller is further configured to control a supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, and

the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load has a higher priority than the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load.

5. The battery system according to claim 1, wherein

said surplus electric power is equal to a difference between an amount of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device and a total amount of electric power consumed by said load.

6. The battery system according to claim 3, wherein

the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load is greater than zero nearer to a side of said electrical grid than an association point where said photo voltaic generation device associates with said electrical grid.

7. The battery system according to claim 4, wherein

the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load is greater than zero nearer to a side of said electrical grid than an association point where said photo voltaic generation device associates with said electrical grid.

8. The battery system according to claim 7, wherein

said controller is further configured to use a measurement result, as electric power that is supplied to said load, on said side of said electrical grid rather than the association point that said photo voltaic generation device associates with said electrical grid.

9. The battery system according to claim 8, wherein

said controller is further configured to use a measurement result, as electric power that is supplied to said load, on said load side rather than the association point that said photo voltaic generation device associates with said electrical grid.

10. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power generated by a distributed electric power source, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load, and configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

11. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load, and control a supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, wherein

the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load has higher priority than the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load.

12. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load, and control a supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, wherein

the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load has higher priority than the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load.

14. The battery system according to claim 12, wherein

the controller is further configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

16. The battery system according to claim 14, wherein

the controller is further configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

13. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load, and control a supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, wherein

one of the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load has higher priority than the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load and the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load has higher priority than the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load.

15. The battery system according to claim 13, wherein

the controller is further configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

17. A battery system comprising:

a battery is configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a distributed electric power source, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load, and if the supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load is insufficient to satisfy the total electric power requirement of said load, control a supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load.

18. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a distributed electric power source, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to control the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, and if the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load is insufficient to satisfy the total electric power requirement of said load, control the supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load.

20. The battery system according to claim 18, wherein

said controller is further configured to one of reversely direct surplus electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to the electrical grid, and control a supply of surplus electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to charge said battery.

22. The battery system according to claim 20, wherein

said controller is further configured to one of reversely direct surplus electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to the electrical grid, and control a supply of surplus electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to charge said battery.

19. A battery system comprising:

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a distributed electric power source, and supply electric power to a load; and

a controller configured to one of, control a supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load, and if the supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load is insufficient to satisfy the total electric power requirement of said load, control a supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, and control the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load, and if the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load is insufficient to satisfy the total electric power requirement of said load, control the supply of electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to said load.

21. The battery system according to claim 19, wherein

said controller is further configured to one of reversely direct surplus electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to the electrical grid, and control a supply of surplus electric power generated by said distributed electric power source to charge said battery.

23. A battery control device configured to supply electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device to a load, and configured to supply surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to charge a battery system, the battery system comprising

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by said photo voltaic generation device, and supply electric power to a load, and

a controller configured to control a supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load, and configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

24. The battery control device according to claim 23, wherein

said battery control device is further configured to supply electric power stored in said battery to a load, and

the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load has a higher priority that the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load.

25. The battery control device according to claim 24, wherein

said battery control device is further configured to supply electric power stored in said battery to said load, and

the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load has a higher priority than the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load.

A battery control device configured to supply one of electric power generated by a photo voltaic generation device to a load with a higher priority than electric power stored in a battery system, and supply electric power stored in said battery system to said load with a higher priority than electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device, said battery system comprising

a battery configured to charge using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by said photo voltaic generation device, and supply electric power to a load.

27. The battery control device according to claim 26, wherein

said battery control device is further configured to control a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold and a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

28. A control method for a battery system, comprising:

charging a battery using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device;

supplying electric power to a load from said photo voltaic generation device with a higher priority; and

supplying electric power to a load from said battery with a lower priority as compared to the supply of electric power to a load from said photo voltaic generation device.

29. A control method for a battery system, comprising:

charging a battery using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device;

supplying electric power to a load from said battery with a higher priority; and

supplying electric power to a load from said photo voltaic generation device with a lower priority as compared to the supply of electric power to a load from said battery.

31. The control method for a battery system according to claim 29, further comprising:

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold, and

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

33. The control method for a battery system according to claim 31, further comprising:

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold, and

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

30. A control method for a battery system, comprising:

charging a battery using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a photo voltaic generation device;

supplying electric power to a load from said battery; and

supplying electric power to a load from said photo voltaic generation device;

wherein

one of the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load has higher priority than the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load and the supply of electric power stored in said battery to said load has higher priority than the supply of electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device to said load.

32. The control method for a battery system according to claim 30, further comprising:

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold, and

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.

34. A control method for a battery system, comprising:

charging a battery using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a pre-designated distributed electric power source;

supplying electric power to a load from said pre-designated distributed electric power source; and

supplying, if electric power supplied to said load from said pre-designated distributed electric power source is insufficient to satisfy the total electric power requirement of said load, electric power stored in said battery to said load.

35. A control method for a battery system, comprising:

charging a battery using electric power supplied from an electrical grid and electric power that is generated by a pre-designated distributed electric power source;

supplying electric power to a load from said battery; and

supplying, if electric power supplied to said load from said battery is insufficient to satisfy the total electric power requirement of said load, electric power that is generated by said pre-designated distributed electric power source to said load.

36. The control method for a battery system according to claim 35, further comprising:

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is sold, and

operating in a mode in which surplus electric power generated by said photo voltaic generation device is supplied to said battery.
