Abstract

A power transmitting apparatus, which simultaneously or sequentially supplies electric power to a plurality of power receiving apparatuses in a wireless manner, includes a power transmitting unit configured to transmit electric power to the plurality of power receiving apparatuses, a reception unit configured to receive a power transmission end request and an abnormality content regarding power transmission from a first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses, and a power transmission determination unit configured, based on the abnormality content, to determine whether to stop power transmission to power receiving apparatuses that have not completed power transmission and that are not the first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses.

Claims

1. A power transmitting apparatus simultaneously or sequentially supplying electric power to a plurality of power receiving apparatuses in a wireless manner, the power transmitting apparatus comprising:

a power transmitting unit configured to transmit electric power to the plurality of power receiving apparatuses;

a reception unit configured to receive a power transmission end request and an abnormality content regarding power transmission from a first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses; and

a power transmission determination unit configured, based on the abnormality content, to determine whether to stop power transmission to power receiving apparatuses that have not completed power transmission and that are not the first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses.

The power transmitting apparatus according to claim 1, wherein, when the abnormality content indicates an abnormality in the power transmitting apparatus, the power transmission determination unit determines to stop power transmission to the power receiving apparatuses that have not completed power transmission and that are not the first power receiving apparatus.

3. The power transmitting apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a number-of-times management unit configured to store the number of times that the abnormality content indicating an abnormality in the power receiving apparatus is received,

wherein, when the number of times is a threshold value or greater, the power transmission determination unit determines to stop power transmission to the power receiving apparatuses that have not completed power transmission and that are not the first power receiving apparatus.

4. A power transmitting method executed by a power transmitting apparatus simultaneously or sequentially supplying electric power to a plurality of power receiving apparatuses in a wireless manner, the power transmitting method comprising:

transmitting electric power to the plurality of power receiving apparatuses;

receiving a power transmission end request and an abnormality content regarding power transmission from a first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses; and

determining, based on the abnormality content, whether to stop power transmission to power receiving apparatuses that have not completed power transmission and that are not the first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses.

5. A computer-readable storage medium storing computer executable instructions causing a computer to execute a method, the method comprising:

transmitting electric power to the plurality of power receiving apparatuses;

receiving a power transmission end request and an abnormality content regarding power transmission from a first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses; and

determining, based on the abnormality content, whether to stop power transmission to power receiving apparatuses that have not completed power transmission and that are not the first power receiving apparatus from among the plurality of power receiving apparatuses.
