Abstract

A method of providing a call log in an electronic device is provided. The method includes displaying a content including call identifier information, storing information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content, and using the stored information for at least one of a call log and a contact list.

Claims

1. A method in an electronic device, the method comprising:

displaying a content including call identifier information;

storing information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content; and

using the stored information for at least one of a call log and a contact list.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing of the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises:

capturing at least one of an entire screen and a part of a screen on which the content including the call identifier information is displayed; and

storing the captured screen as an image.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing of the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises:

selecting at least one image related to the call identifier information from among images in the content including the call identifier information; and

storing the selected image.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing of the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises:

extracting a text corresponding to a title or search word of the content; and

storing the extracted text.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing of the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises:

extracting a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or a storage position of the content; and

storing the extracted information.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing of the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises:

parsing the content;

extracting a text related to the call identifier information according to a result of the parsing of the content; and

storing the extracted text.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the information corresponding to the call identifier information comprises at least one of an image, a text, and position information for returning to a content screen including the call identifier information.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the position information corresponds to one of a URL of a corresponding webpage and a folder position of the content including the call identifier information.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

attempting, when the call identifier information is selected, a call connection through the call identifier information.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising:

displaying the information corresponding to the call identifier information during the call connection.

11. The method of claim 9, further comprising:

terminating the call connection; and

displaying the information corresponding to the call identifier information after the terminating of the call connection.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing of the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises:

determining whether the call identifier information is selected.

25. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause at least one processor to perform the method of claim 1.

13. An electronic device comprising:

at least one processor;

a memory; and

at least one program stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the at least one processor,

wherein the at least one program comprises an instruction for displaying a content including call identifier information, storing information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content, and using the information corresponding to the call identifier information for a call log or a contact list.

14. The device of claim 13, wherein the instruction for storing the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises an instruction for capturing at least one of an entire screen and a part of a screen on which the content including the call identifier information is displayed, and for storing the captured screen as an image.

15. The device of claim 13, wherein the instruction for storing the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises an instruction for selecting at least one image related to the call identifier information from among images in the content including the call identifier information and for storing the selected image.

16. The device of claim 13, wherein the instruction for storing the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises an instruction for extracting a text corresponding to a title or search word of the content and for storing the extracted text.

17. The device of claim 13, wherein the instruction for storing the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises an instruction for extracting a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or a storage position of the content and storing the extracted information.

18. The device of claim 13, wherein the instruction for storing the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises an instruction for parsing the content, for extracting a text related to the call identifier information according to a result of the parsing of the content, and for storing the extracted text.

19. The device of claim 13, wherein the information corresponding to the call identifier information comprises at least one of an image, a text, and position information for returning to a content screen including the call identifier information.

20. The device of claim 19, wherein the position information corresponds to one of a URL of a corresponding webpage and a folder position of the content including the call identifier information.

21. The device of claim 13, wherein the at least one program further comprises an instruction for attempting, when the call identifier information is selected, a call connection through the call identifier information.

22. The device of claim 21, wherein the at least one program further comprises an instruction for displaying the information corresponding to the call identifier information during the call connection.

23. The device of claim 21, wherein the at least one program further comprises an instruction for terminating the call connection and for displaying the information corresponding to the call identifier information after the terminating of the call connection.

24. The device of claim 13, wherein the instruction for storing the information corresponding to the call identifier information from the content comprises an instruction for determining whether the call identifier information is selected.

26. A method for associating contact information with a contact in an electronic device, the method comprising:

displaying a content including contact information;

detecting a request to communicate with a contact associated with the displayed contact information;

determining whether the contact associated with the displayed contact information exists in a database of contacts; and

storing information corresponding to the displayed contact information in at least one of a communication log and the database of contacts if the contact associated with the displayed contact information is determined not to exist in a database of contacts.

27. The method of claim 26, wherein the storing of information corresponding to the displayed contact information in at least one of a communication log and the database of contacts comprises:

extracting the information from the displayed content.

28. The method of claim 26, wherein the content is displayed in at least one of a website and a received message.
