DYNAMIC RENDERING FOR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
First Claim
1. A method performed by an application executing on a mobile device, the method comprising:
- receiving user input navigating to a first view of the application;
determining, using a navigation hierarchy stored on the mobile device, to render the first view using a native rendering engine native to the mobile device;
receiving an update to the navigation hierarchy from a server;
after receiving the update, receiving user input navigating to the first view; and
determining, using the update to the navigation hierarchy from the server, to render the first view using an open rendering engine that is not native to the mobile device.

Abstract
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for dynamic rendering for hybrid apps. One of the methods includes receiving user input navigating to a first view of an application; determining, using a navigation hierarchy stored on the mobile device, to render the first view using a native rendering engine native to the mobile device; receiving an update to the navigation hierarchy from a server; after receiving the update, receiving user input navigating to the first view; and determining, using the update to the navigation hierarchy from the server, to render the first view using an open rendering engine that is not native to the mobile device.

11. A mobile device comprising a processor and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
-
receiving user input navigating to a first view of an application executing on the mobile device; determining, using a navigation hierarchy stored on the mobile device, to render the first view using a native rendering engine native to the mobile device; receiving an update to the navigation hierarchy from a server; after receiving the update, receiving user input navigating to the first view; and determining, using the update to the navigation hierarchy from the server, to render the first view using an open rendering engine that is not native to the mobile device. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
