Abstract

A reference pass code is received from a first user. Location information of a vehicle of the first user is received from a first computer. A pass code is received from a second user. Location information of a vehicle of the second user is received from a second computer. One or more computer processors verify that the pass code received from the second user matches the reference pass code. Based on verification of the pass code received from the second user, the location information of the vehicle of the first user is transmitted to the second computer and the location information of the vehicle of the second user is transmitted to the first computer.

Claims

1. A method for forming a caravan, comprising the steps of:

receiving a reference pass code from a first user;

receiving location information of a vehicle of the first user from a first computer;

receiving a pass code from a second user;

receiving location information of a vehicle of the second user from a second computer;

verifying, by one or more computer processors, that the pass code received from the second user matches the reference pass code; and

based on verification of the pass code received from the second user, transmitting the location information of the vehicle of the first user to the second computer and transmitting the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the first computer.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising the steps of:

receiving a pass code from the first user;

verifying, by one or more computer processors, that the pass code received from the first user matches the reference pass code; and

wherein the step of transmitting the location information of the vehicle of the first user to the second user and transmitting the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the first user is based on verification of the pass code received from the first user and verification of the pass code received from the second user.

The method of claim 1, wherein the location information of the vehicle of the first user is transmitted to the second computer and the location information of the vehicle of the second user is transmitted to the first computer when the vehicle of the first user and the vehicle of the second user are within a threshold distance of each other.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of transmitting a status of the vehicle of the first user to the second computer and transmitting a status of the vehicle of the second user to the first computer, based on verification of the pass code received from the second user.

5. The method of claim 4, further comprising the step of notifying an emergency authority based on either the status of the vehicle of the first user or the status of the vehicle of the second user.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising the step of transmitting the location information of the vehicle of the first user or the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the emergency authority.

7. A computer program product for forming a caravan, the computer program product comprising:

one or more computer-readable storage devices and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more tangible storage devices, the program instructions comprising;

program instructions to receive a reference pass code from a first user;

program instructions to receive location information of a vehicle of the first user from a first computer;

program instructions to receive a pass code from a second user;

program instructions to receive location information of a vehicle of the second user from a second computer;

program instructions to verify that the pass code received from the second user matches the reference pass code; and

based on verification of the pass code received from the second user, program instructions to transmit the location information of the vehicle of the first user to the second computer and transmit the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the first computer.

8. The computer program product of claim 7, further comprising:

program instructions to receive a pass code from the first user;

program instructions to verify that the pass code received from the first user matches the reference pass code; and

wherein the program instructions to transmit the location information of the vehicle of the first user to the second user and transmit the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the first user is based on verification of the pass code received from the first user and verification of the pass code received from the second user.

The computer program product of claim 7, wherein the location information of the vehicle of the first user is transmitted to the second computer and the location information of the vehicle of the second user is transmitted to the first computer when the vehicle of the first user and the vehicle of the second user are within a threshold distance of each other.

10. The computer program product of claim 7, further comprising program instructions to transmit a status of the vehicle of the first user to the second computer and transmit a status of the vehicle of the second user to the first computer, based on verification of the pass code received from the second user.

11. The computer program product of claim 10, further comprising program instructions to notify an emergency authority based on either the status of the vehicle of the first user or the status of the vehicle of the second user.

12. The computer program product of claim 11, further comprising program instructions to transmit the location information of the vehicle of the first user or the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the emergency authority.

13. A computer system for forming a caravan, the computer system comprising:

one or more processors, one or more computer-readable memories, one or more computer-readable tangible storage devices, and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more storage devices for execution by at least one of the one or more processors via at least one of the one or more memories, the program instructions comprising;

program instructions to receive a reference pass code from a first user;

program instructions to receive location information of a vehicle of the first user from a first computer;

program instructions to receive a pass code from a second user;

program instructions to receive location information of a vehicle of the second user from a second computer;

program instructions to verify that the pass code received from the second user matches the reference pass code; and

based on verification of the pass code received from the second user, program instructions to transmit the location information of the vehicle of the first user to the second computer and transmit the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the first computer.

14. The computer system of claim 13, further comprising:

program instructions to receive a pass code from the first user;

program instructions to verify that the pass code received from the first user matches the reference pass code; and

wherein the program instructions to transmit the location information of the vehicle of the first user to the second user and transmit the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the first user is based on verification of the pass code received from the first user and verification of the pass code received from the second user.

15. The computer system of claim 13, wherein the location information of the vehicle of the first user is transmitted to the second computer and the location information of the vehicle of the second user is transmitted to the first computer when the vehicle of the first user and the vehicle of the second user are within a threshold distance of each other.

16. The computer system of claim 13, further comprising program instructions to transmit a status of the vehicle of the first user to the second computer and transmit a status of the vehicle of the second user to the first computer, based on verification of the pass code received from the second user.

17. The computer system of claim 16, further comprising program instructions to notify an emergency authority based on either the status of the vehicle of the first user or the status of the vehicle of the second user.

18. The computer system of claim 17, further comprising program instructions to transmit the location information of the vehicle of the first user or the location information of the vehicle of the second user to the emergency authority.
