Abstract

A computer system generates interactive user interfaces. The system is configured to receive first data input via a user interface, access stored data including guideline data based on the received first data, and generate a modified user interface based on the accessed stored data. The first data, and second data received via the modified user interface, are processed and employed for adjusting workflows.

Claims

1. A computer system for generating and displaying one or more interactive user interfaces and processing input data, comprising:

one or more data storage devices storing data indicative of compliance guideline data for a plurality of jurisdictions and policy data for a plurality of auto insurance policies;

one or more computer processors; and

a memory storing computer-readable instructions, which instructions, when executed by the one or more computer processors, cause the one or more computer processors to;

output an auto insurance data collection user interface including at least one data field for entry of information about an auto insurance claim for display on a display device;

receive first data associated with the auto insurance claim via the user interface;

retrieve compliance guideline data applicable to the claim from the one or more data storage devices, based on the first data;

modify the user interface by at least one of adding additional data fields or removing data fields based on the retrieved compliance guideline data and the first data;

retrieve policy data applicable to the claim based on the first data;

populate one or more data fields included in the user interface with the retrieved policy data;

receive second data via the modified user interface;

output the first data and the second data, and

adjust an auto insurance claim workflow based on the output data.

2. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the instructions causing the one or more computer processors to modify the user interface comprises adding questions and corresponding data fields based on applicable stored compliance guideline data.

3. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the instructions causing the one or more computer processors to modify the user interface comprises removing one or more questions and corresponding data fields based on applicable stored compliance guideline data.

4. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more computer processors to modify the user interface by adding one or more questions and corresponding data fields based on the retrieved policy data applicable to the claim based on the first data.

The computer system of claim 1, wherein the instructions causing the one or more computer processors to adjust an auto insurance claim workflow comprises determining that the auto insurance claim is to be transferred to a different claims department, and transferring the auto insurance claim to the different claims department.

6. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the instructions causing the one or more computer processors to adjust an auto insurance claim workflow comprises providing recommendations for next steps in the workflow.

7. The computer system of claim 1, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more computer processors to generate a special instructions user interface for requesting and receiving data indicative of particular insurance policies having particular features or instructions.

The computer system of claim 7, wherein the instructions causing the one or more computer processors to generate a special instructions user interface comprise causing the one or more computer processors to include in the special instructions user interface prompts for policy type, event type, and whether fatalities are involved.

9. The computer system of claim 8, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more computer processors to store data entered via the special instructions user interface in a database, and, responsive to processing the claim by claims processing personnel, using the data entered via the special instructions user interface to adjust auto insurance claim workflow.

10. A computer-implemented method for generating and displaying one or more interactive user interfaces, comprising:

outputting by one or more computer processors to a display device a data collection user interface including at least one data field for entry of information about an auto insurance claim for display on a display device;

receiving, by the one or more computer processors, first data associated with the auto insurance claim via the user interface;

retrieving, by the one or more computer processors, from one or more data storage devices storing data indicative of auto insurance compliance guidelines for a plurality of jurisdictions and policy data for a plurality of auto insurance policies, auto insurance compliance guidelines applicable to the auto insurance claim, based on the first data;

modifying, by the one or more computer processors, the user interface by at least one of adding additional data fields or removing data fields based on the retrieved auto insurance compliance guidelines and the first data;

retrieving, by the one or more computer processors, from the one or more data storage devices, policy data applicable to the auto insurance claim based on the first data;

populating, by the one or more computer processors, one or more data fields included in the user interface with the retrieved policy data;

receiving, by the one or more computer processors, second data via the modified user interface;

outputting, by the one or more computer processors, the first data and the second data, and

adjusting, by the one or more computer processors, an auto insurance claim workflow based on the output data.

11. The computer-implemented method of claim 10, wherein adjusting an auto insurance claim workflow comprises determining that the auto insurance claim is to be transferred to a different claims department, and transferring the auto insurance claim to the different claims department.

12. The computer-implemented method of claim 10, wherein adjusting an auto insurance claim workflow comprises providing recommendations for next steps in the workflow.

13. The computer-implemented method of claim 10, wherein modifying the user interface comprises adding questions and corresponding data fields based on applicable ones of the stored auto insurance compliance guidelines.

14. The computer-implemented method of claim 10, wherein the compliance guidelines comprise one or more of a requirement that a customer be provided with a copy of repair estimates and a requirement that use of after market parts to be disclosed to a customer.

15. A computer system for generating and displaying one or more interactive user interfaces and processing input data, comprising:

a claims processing agent terminal;

a customer service representative terminal;

a first computer system in communication with the claims processing agent terminal and the customer service representative terminal, the first computer system comprising;

one or more data storage devices storing data indicative of auto insurance compliance guidelines for a plurality of jurisdictions and policy data for a plurality of auto insurance policies;

one or more computer processors;

one or more computer processors; and

a memory storing computer-readable instructions, which instructions, when executed by the one or more computer processors, cause the one or more computer processors to;

output an auto insurance data collection user interface including at least one data field for input of information about an auto insurance claim for display on a display device of at least one of the claims processing agent terminal and the customer service representative terminal;

receive first data associated with the auto insurance claim via the user interface;

retrieve auto insurance compliance guidelines applicable to the claim from the one or more data storage devices, based on the first data;

modify the user interface by at least one of adding additional data fields or removing data fields based on the retrieved auto insurance compliance guidelines and the first data;

retrieve policy data applicable to the claim based on the first data;

populate one or more data fields included in the user interface with the retrieved policy data, and output the modified user interface to the one of the claims processing agent terminal and the customer service representative terminal;

receive second data via the modified user interface;

output the first data and the second data, and

adjust an auto insurance claim workflow based on the output data.

16. The computer system of claim 15, wherein the instructions further cause the one or more computer processors to output via a network to a third-party appraiser system one or more appraisal user interface screens.

17. The computer system of claim 16, wherein the instructions further causing the one or more computer processors to output to the third-party appraiser system one or more appraisal user interface screens comprises causing the one or more computer processors to output a repairable vehicle user interface screen, including fields for entry of inspection damage notes, alternate parts suggestions, and entry of data relevant to compliance guidelines.

The computer system of claim 16, wherein the instructions further causing the one or more computer processors to output to the third-party appraiser system one or more appraisal user interface screens comprises causing the one or more computer processors to output a total loss vehicle user interface, including fields for entry of settlement information and moving/storage information.

19. The computer system of claim 16, wherein the instructions further causing the one or more computer processors to output to the third-party appraiser system one or more appraisal user interface screens comprises causing the one or more computer processors to output a subrogation user interface including fields for entry of demand amounts.

20. The computer system of claim 16, wherein the instructions further causing the one or more computer processors to output to the third-party appraiser system one or more appraisal user interface screens comprises causing the one or more computer processors to output a low-impact soft tissue claim user interface, including fields for entry of frame damage and impact height information.
