1. A method for displaying characters in a mobile device, the method comprising:
- receiving one or more characters through a virtual keyboard in an input window on a screen in a typing mode; and
displaying the one or more characters in the input window, and a message window on the screen at a substantially same time by each character received.

An apparatus for displaying characters in a mobile device includes a screen configured to display an input window containing a virtual keyboard and a message window, wherein the screen is configured to receive one or more characters through a virtual keyboard in the input window on a screen in a typing mode, and a controller configured to cause the screen to display the one or more characters in the input window, and a message window on the screen at a substantially same time by each character received. A method includes receiving one or more characters through a virtual keyboard in an input window on a screen in a typing mode, and displaying the one or more characters in the input window, and a message window on the screen at a substantially same time by each character received.
