Abstract

The present invention has the aim of providing a method of an activity information notification service in which a server can receive activity information from a user of a target terminal, depending on his or her privacy setting, and then transmit the received activity information to a selected receiving user, and in which any receiving user can transmit a notification request to a target user in order to receive desired activity information. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of an activity information notification service at a server, the method includes steps of receiving activity information from a target terminal; determining a receiving terminal to which the received activity information will be transmitted, depending on a privacy setting of the target terminal stored in a storage unit; and transmitting the activity information to the determined receiving terminal.

Claims

1. A method of an activity information notification service at a server, the method comprising:

receiving activity information from a target terminal;

determining a receiving terminal to which the received activity information will be transmitted, depending on a privacy setting of the target terminal stored in a storage unit; and

transmitting the activity information to the determined receiving terminal.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving, from the receiving terminal, a notification request that contains notification setting information,

wherein the notification setting information comprises one or more of information about the receiving terminal, information about the target terminal intended for a notification service, information about a target activity, or information about whether to transmit an approval request to the target terminal.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the notification setting information further comprises information about a period that allows the receiving terminal to receive an activity information notification of the target user.

4. The method of claim 2, further comprising:

transmitting the approval request to the target terminal if the privacy setting of the target terminal is defined not to open the activity information to the receiving terminal.

5. The method of claim 4, further comprising:

receiving approval or disapproval from the target terminal; and

changing the privacy setting of the target terminal stored in the server, depending on the received approval or disapproval.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving privacy setting data from the target terminal, the privacy setting data comprising the activity information to be opened and information about the receiving terminal to which the activity information will be opened.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the target terminal comprises an activity detecting unit configured to detect user'"'"'s activity information.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the activity information comprises user'"'"'s behavior and a target of the behavior.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising:

storing one or more of the behavior and the target in a storage unit if the behavior and the target are not contained in the activity information previously received.

10. A server of an activity information notification service comprising:

a receiver unit configured to receive activity information from a target terminal;

a storage unit configured to store therein a privacy setting of the target terminal;

a control unit configured to compare the stored privacy setting of the target terminal with the activity information received from the target terminal and thereby to determine a receiving terminal to which the activity information will be transmitted; and

a transmitter unit configured to transmit the activity information to the determined receiving terminal.

11. The server of claim 10, wherein the receiver unit is further configured to receive, from the receiving terminal, a notification request that contains therein notification setting information.

12. The server of claim 10, wherein the transmitter unit is further configured to transmit an approval request to the target terminal if the privacy setting of the target terminal is defined not to open the activity information to the receiving terminal.

13. The server of claim 10, wherein the receiver unit is further configured to receive approval or disapproval from the target terminal, and wherein the storage unit is further configured to change the stored privacy setting of the target terminal, depending on the received approval or disapproval.

14. A terminal of an activity notification service comprising:

an input unit configured to receive a notification request containing therein notification setting information; and

a transceiver unit configured to transmit data containing therein the notification request and to receive the data.

15. The terminal of claim 14, further comprising:

a display unit configured to display thereon,

wherein the display unit is further configured to display one or more of the notification request of user activity information received through the transceiver.

16. The terminal of claim 14, further comprising:

an activity detecting unit configured to detect user'"'"'s activity information,

wherein the transceiver is further configured to transmit the activity information, detected by the activity detecting unit, to a server.

17. The terminal of claim 14, wherein the notification setting information comprises one or more of information about a user of the receiving terminal, information about a target terminal intended for a notification service, information about a target activity, information about a period for receiving the target activity, or information about whether to transmit an approval request to the target terminal.

18. A method of an activity information notification service at a terminal, the method comprising:

receiving, through an input unit, a notification request containing therein notification setting information;

transmitting the notification request through a transceiver unit;

receiving activity information of a target terminal from the server through the transceiver unit; and

displaying the received target activity information through a display unit,

The method of claim 18, wherein the notification setting information comprises one or more of user information about the terminal, information about a target terminal intended for a notification service, information about a target activity, information about a period for receiving the target activity, or information about whether to transmit an approval request to the target terminal.
