Abstract
The power generation amount of a PV device is estimated by multiple light receiving devices, which are dispersed in a predetermined area and each of which outputs a receive light signal corresponding to the amount of received light, and by an estimation device connected to the multiple light receiving devices through a communication network. The estimation device predicts the cloud shadow projected on the ground based on the received light signal obtained multiple times from a predetermined number of light receiving devices of the multiple light receiving devices. Then, the estimation device estimates the amount of power generated by the PV device installed in the predetermined area, based on the predicted cloud shadow.

12. A solar power generation estimation system for estimating the power generation amount of a photovoltaic power generation device,
wherein the solar power generation estimation system comprises: -
a plurality of light receiving devices that are dispersed in a predetermine area and each of which outputs a received light signal corresponding to the amount of received light; and an estimation device connected to the plurality of light receiving devices through a communication network, wherein the estimation device includes the steps of; predicting the cloud shadow projected on the ground based on the received light signal obtained a plurality of times from a predetermined number of light receiving devices of the plurality of light receiving devices; estimating the amount of power generated by the photovoltaic power generation device installed in the predetermined area, based on the predicted cloud shadow; and identifying a given received light signal with a predetermined increasing or decreasing trend in a predetermined period of time, from the plurality of received light signals, to predict the cloud shadow boundary which is the boundary formed by the cloud shadow, based on the installation point of the light receiving device that has output the given received light signal. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18)
