Abstract

The invention relates to a system for installing or uninstalling a removable battery of an electric or hybrid vehicle characterized that the system is fully integrated and does not require any outside assistance. To summarize, the jack (3) can vertically handle and drop the battery (2) when the locks (4) securing the battery below the vehicle (1) floor are opened. The unavailable vehicle positioning against the battery dropping location is characterized that it uses the parking assistance system (5) of the vehicle while the device can compensate the inaccuracy gap. This battery dropping system is useful for batteries exchange, for batteries renting or maintenance, and for adapting the batteries configuration to the forecasted load or usages of the vehicle. Important cost cuts, CO2 cuts and fuel savings can be expected from these possibilities. In fact, the vehicle no longer carries a heavy battery when not necessary. Even more, adapting batteries'"'"' weight according to vehicle load allows decreasing the maximum load design which impacts costs and performances. In addition, the device can also be used as an automatic and high-power electrical connector. Such connectors are more and more required for quick charger while they are less and less hand able for human.

Claims

1. Embarked device for installing or dropping a removable battery of an electric or hybrid vehicle, characterized in that it associates:

Means of assistance for positioning and parking the vehicle,

An oscillating electric jack fixed on the vehicle body and centered on the vertical through the gravity center of the removable battery,

A grasping head able to alternatively grasps or unclasps the removable battery at each push at the end of the jack rod,

A cone, for guiding the removable battery in its displacements, fixed on the vehicle body and concentric with the jack,

An electrical connector also installed concentric with the jack at the base of the cone,

At least three locks for securing the removable battery once in place below the vehicle.

3. Device according to the claim 1, characterized in that the contacts of the connector on the battery side are covered and protected by a concentric insulated mask only pushed back by a special shape of the vehicle connector at the time of the connection.

4. Device according to the claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the connectors integrate a concentric circuit breaker to isolate manually the removable battery or the mobile plug.

5. Device according to the claim 1, characterized in that the removable battery is secured by at least three electromagnetic failsafe locks at the end of its installation process.

6. Device according to the claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the device is protected from dust and water projections by two articulated half-caps retracted by the moving parts during the battery or the mobile plug installation.

7. Device according to the claim 6, characterized in that the two articulated half-caps help to maintain the battery in an approximate horizontal plane during its vertical movements.

8. Device according to the claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the device is controlled by a push button of push to make type, located ideally inside the vehicle, close to the driver.

9. Device according to the claims 1, characterized in that the device is used in order to install or uninstall the removable battery according to the load forecasts of the vehicle.

10. Device according to the claims 9, characterized in that the device software estimates the vehicle load and limits the vehicle speed in case of overload.

2. Embarked device for connecting an electric or a hybrid vehicle to a high-power plug characterized in that it associates:

Means of assistance for positioning and parking the vehicle,

An oscillating electric jack fixed on the vehicle body and centered on the vertical of the mobile plug,

A grasping head able to alternatively grasps or unclasps the mobile plug at each push at the end of the jack rod,

A cone, for guiding the mobile plug in its displacements, fixed on the vehicle body and concentric with the jack,

An electrical connector also installed concentric with the jack at the base of the cone.
