Abstract

The invention relates to protecting metals and components from inductive energy. The protecting apparatus comprises an inductive energy coil (51), a first shielding unit comprising an opening (58) around the inductive energy coil (51) wherein the first shielding unit (54) is located in parallel to inductive energy coil (51); and a second shielding unit (53) under the inductive energy coil (51) so that the inductive energy coil (51) is enabled for electromagnetic radiation. The invention further relates to a method for producing the protecting apparatus and an electronic device comprising the protecting apparatus.

23. An apparatus comprising:

an inductive energy coil configured for inductive energy transmission;

a first shielding unit comprising an opening, wherein the first shielding unit is located in parallel to the inductive energy coil, and wherein the opening of the first shielding unit is arranged to be located so that the opening at least partially reveals the inductive energy coil electromagnetic radiation; and

a second shielding unit, wherein the second shielding unit is located in parallel to the inductive energy coil so that the inductive energy coil is enabled for electromagnetic radiation.

24. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the inductive energy coil is an inductive energy receiver coil.

25. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the inductive energy coil is an inductive energy transmitter coil.

26. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the inductive energy coil is an inductive energy transceiver coil.

27. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the first shielding unit comprises a plurality of openings.

28. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the apparatus further comprises at least one further shielding unit with at least one opening, wherein the at least one further shielding unit is in parallel to the first shielding unit.

29. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the first shielding unit is in-molded into a cover of a device.

30. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the first shielding unit is attached to a cover of a device.

31. The apparatus according to claim 30, wherein the first shielding unit is attached to a back side of the cover of the device.

32. The apparatus according to claim 30, wherein the first shielding unit is attached to a front side of the cover of the device.

33. The apparatus according to claim 23, wherein the apparatus is a part of an electronic device.

34. A method comprising:

locating, by an apparatus, a first shielding unit comprising an opening in parallel to an inductive energy coil, and wherein the opening of the first shielding unit is arranged to be located so that the opening at least partially reveals the inductive energy coil for electromagnetic radiation, and

locating, by the apparatus, a second shielding unit in parallel to the inductive energy coil so that the inductive energy coil is enabled for electromagnetic radiation.

35. The method according to claim 34, wherein the inductive energy coil is an inductive energy receiver coil.

36. The method according to claim 34, wherein the inductive energy coil is an inductive energy transmitter coil.

37. The method according to claim 34, wherein the inductive energy coil is an inductive energy transceiver coil.

38. The method according to claim 34, wherein the first shielding unit has a plurality of openings.

39. The method according to claim 34, wherein the method further comprises locating, by the apparatus, at least one further shielding unit with at least one opening in parallel to the first shielding unit.

40. The method according to claim 34, wherein the method comprises in-molding, by the apparatus, the first shielding unit into a cover of a device.

41. The method according to claim 34, wherein the method comprises attaching, by the apparatus, the first shielding unit to a cover of a device.

42. The method according to claim 41, wherein the method comprises attaching, by the apparatus, the first shielding unit to a back side of the cover of the device.
