Abstract

Liquid consumption devices, systems, and methods of using the same are described herein. One method of using a liquid consumption device can comprise determining a hydration plan for a user based on parameters of the user using a computing system, receiving data from a liquid consumption device at the computing system over a period of time, aggregating the data received over the period of time to track liquid consumption of the user, and identifying the user is outside a threshold hydration level based on the aggregated data and the determined hydration plan.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method for tracking liquid consumption, comprising:

determining a hydration plan for a user based on parameters of the user using a computing system;

receiving data from a liquid consumption device at the computing system over a period of time;

aggregating the data received over the period of time to track liquid consumption of the user; and

identifying the user is outside a threshold hydration level based on the aggregated data and the determined hydration plan.

2. The method of claim 1, including sending an alert to a mobile computing device in response to the user being outside the threshold hydration.

3. The method of claim 1, including providing a visual indication on the liquid consumption device based on an amount of liquid consumed by the user and the hydration plan.

4. The method of claim 1, including creating a report of liquid consumption of the user based on the aggregated data over the period of time using the computing device.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving the data from the liquid consumption device includes wirelessly receiving data from a plurality of liquid consumption devices.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein each of the plurality of liquid consumption devices is associated with a user among a plurality of users.

7. A liquid consumption device, comprising:

a reservoir to hold liquid;

a pressure sensor to track liquid consumed from the reservoir; and

a computing component to determine a hydration level of the user based on the tracked liquid over a period of time.

8. The device of claim 7, including:

a cover; and

a switch connected to the reservoir, wherein the switch activates an electrical circuit associated with the computing device when the cover is attached to the reservoir.

9. The device of claim 8, wherein the pressure sensor tracks liquid consumed when the cover is attached to the reservoir.

10. The device of claim 8, including:

a first magnet located in the cover; and

a second magnet associated with the switch, wherein the switch is activated by the first magnet and the second magnet interacting.

11. The device of claim 7, wherein the reservoir includes a double wall reservoir and wherein the computing component is located in a space between an inner wall and an outer wall of the double wall reservoir.

12. The device of claim 7, including a display and wherein the liquid consumption device provides a visual indication on the display in response to the hydration level being outside of a threshold hydration level.

13. The device of claim 12, including:

a cover; and

a switch connected to the reservoir, wherein the switch activates an electrical circuit associated with the computing device and the display when the cover is attached to the reservoir.

14. The device of claim 7, further including:

an inclinometer; and

wherein the pressure sensor measures a volume of liquid in the reservoir in response to detecting the reservoir is near level using the inclinometer.

15. A system for tracking liquid consumed, comprising:

a liquid consumption device to;

track an amount of liquid consumed by a user over a period of time; and

communicate liquid consumption data including the amount of liquid consumed to a computing device;

the computing device to;

receive data including health information associated with the user;

determine a hydration plan for the user including at least one threshold hydration level; and

determine a hydration level of the user based on the liquid consumption data from the liquid consumption device.

16. The system of claim 15, wherein the liquid consumption device further provides a first visual indication to the user to drink liquid in response to the hydration level of the user being outside the one or more threshold hydration levels.

17. The system of claim 16, wherein the liquid consumption device further provides a second visual indication to the user indicating the user is hydrated in response to the hydration level of the user being within the one or more threshold hydration levels.

18. The system of claim 15, including:

a plurality of liquid consumptions devices, wherein the liquid consumption device is among the plurality; and

wherein each of the plurality of liquid consumption devices;

tracks an amount of liquid consumed by a particular user over a period of time; and

communicates liquid consumption data including the amount of liquid consumed to the computing device.

19. The system of claim 18, wherein the computing device further:

aggregates the liquid consumption data received from the plurality of liquid consumption devices over the period of time; and

determines a hydration level associated with each of the plurality of liquid consumption devices based on the aggregated liquid consumption data.

20. The system of claim 18, wherein each of the plurality of liquid consumption devices is associated with a particular user and wherein the computing component further:

receives health information associated with each of the plurality of users; and

determines a hydration plan for each user among the plurality based on the health information.
