Abstract

Provided is a terminal including: an information extraction unit that extracts location information which is designated as a destination point; a display unit to which a graphic image for receiving a control command for displaying a source of the location information, and the extracted location information are output together; and a controller that controls the display unit in such a manner that a guide screen for guiding a path to the destination point that is selected by a user from among the pieces of location information.

Claims

1. A terminal comprising:

a display configured to display information; and

a controller configured to;

receive location information related to a first destination location;

cause the display to display the location information and a source indicator indicating a source from which the location information was received; and

cause the display to display guidance information comprising a route to the first destination location.

2. The terminal of claim 1, wherein the source indicator corresponds to an application associated with the received location information.

3. The terminal of claim 2, wherein the controller is further configured to:

execute the application in response to an input selecting the displayed source indicator; and

cause the display to display an execution screen of the executed application.

4. The terminal of claim 3, wherein the controller is further configured to cause the display to:

display a switching icon; and

switch between displaying the location information and the execution screen in response to an input to the switching icon.

5. The terminal of claim 3, further comprising:

a speaker configured to output audio;

wherein the controller is further configured to cause the speaker to output audio associated with the guidance information while the execution screen is displayed.

6. The terminal of claim 1, wherein the received location information comprises information related to a plurality of destinations, and the controller is further configured to cause the display to display a list comprising the plurality of destinations in response to an input received to the displayed source indicator.

7. The terminal of claim 6, wherein the controller is further configured to cause the display to display the list in an order based on at least:

a distance to each destination of the plurality of destinations;

a most recent time when each destination of the plurality of destinations was visited;

a most recent time when information related to each destination of the plurality of destinations was accessed;

a time when information related to each destination of the plurality of destinations was received;

or

an order set by a user.

8. The terminal of claim 1, further comprising a wireless communication unit, wherein the controller is further configured to receive the location information from an external terminal via the wireless communication unit.

9. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the received location information is based on information extracted from a text, an image, voice audio, or a media file existing at the external terminal.

10. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to receive event information associated with an event at the external terminal and cause the display to display an execution screen of the event.

11. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to cause the display to display updated location information related to a second destination location received from the external terminal via the wireless communication unit, wherein the updated location information is generated from an event occurring at the external terminal.

12. The terminal of claim 11, wherein the controller is further configured to cause the display to display updated guidance information comprising a route to the second destination location.

13. The terminal of claim 12, wherein the updated guidance information comprises a route to the first destination location and the second destination location successively.

14. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is further configured to cause the display to display:

an event icon indicating the occurrence of an event at the external terminal; and

updated location information associated with the event in response to an input selecting the displayed event icon.

15. A method of controlling a terminal, comprising:

receiving location information related to a first destination location;

displaying the location information and a source indicator on a display of the terminal, the source indicator indicating a source from which the location information was received; and

displaying guidance information comprising a route to the first destination location.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

executing an application corresponding to the source indicator in response to an input selecting the displayed source indicator; and

displaying an execution screen of the executed application.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein the location information is received from an external terminal via a wireless communication unit of the terminal.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

receiving updated location information related to a second destination location received from the external terminal wherein the updated location information is generated from an event occurring at the external terminal; and

displaying updated guidance information comprising a route to the second destination location.

19. The method of claim 17, wherein the received location information is based on information extracted from a text, an image, voice audio, or a media file existing at the external terminal.

20. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

receiving event information associated with an event at the mobile terminal; and

displaying an execution screen of the event.
