Abstract
A method and a system offer an incentive to a user of a mobile device based on a geographic location of the mobile device and the intent of the user. For example, a machine determines a geographic location of a mobile device. The machine identifies an item specified at the geographic location of the mobile device via an optical input of the mobile device. The machine determines an offer from a merchant within a predefined geographic boundary. The determining of the offer may be based on the geographic location of the mobile device. The machine determines that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item, and redefines the predefined geographic boundary in response to the determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item. The redefining may result in a redefined geographic boundary.

2. A system comprising one or more hardware processors configured to include:
-
a first module configured to determine a geographic location of a mobile device; a second module configured to identify an item specified at the geographic location of the mobile device via an optical input of the mobile device; and an incentive module configured to determine an offer from a merchant within a predefined geographic boundary, the determining of the offer being based on the geographic location of the mobile device, determine that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item, and redefine the predefined geographic boundary in response to the determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item, the redefining resulting in a redefined geographic boundary. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10)

12. A computer-implemented method comprising:
-
determining a geographic location of a mobile device; identifying an item specified at the geographic location of the mobile device via an optical input of the mobile device; determining an offer from a merchant within a predefined geographic boundary, the determining of the offer being based on the geographic location of the mobile device; determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item; and redefining, using a hardware processor of a machine, the predefined geographic boundary in response to the determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item, the redefining resulting in a redefined geographic boundary. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)

21. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a set of instructions that, when executed by a hardware processor, causes the hardware processor to perform operations, comprising:
-
determining a geographic location of a mobile device; identifying an item specified at the geographic location of the mobile device via an optical input of the mobile device; determining an offer from a merchant within a predefined geographic boundary, the determining of the offer being based on the geographic location of the mobile device; determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item; and redefining the predefined geographic boundary in response to the determining that the offer from the merchant does not correspond to the identified item, the redefining resulting in a redefined geographic boundary.
