PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE MOUNTING STRUCTURES
First Claim
1. A personal electronics device mounting structure comprising:
- (a) a base comprising an aft surface, wherein the base is configured to fit substantially within a recess so that the aft surface of the base is substantially flush with an aft surface surrounding the recess in a stowed position, and wherein at least a first portion of the base is positioned aft of the recess and at least a second portion of the base is positioned within the recess in a deployed position;
(b) a cradle coupled to the base, wherein the cradle comprises a pair of arms configured to hold a personal electronics device securely in place adjacent a passenger seat back when the base is in the deployed position; and
(c) a connection port connected to at least one of a power supply, an on-board entertainment system, and an in-flight entertainment system.
