Abstract

A method for transmitting a signal by a device-to-device (D2D) user equipment (UE) configured to perform D2D communication in a wireless communication system includes transmitting a signal after application of a first timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication, wherein the first timing advance (TA) value for the D2D communication is associated with a second timing advance (TA) value applied when the UE transmits an uplink signal to a base station (BS).

Claims

1. A method for transmitting a signal by a device-to-device (D2D) user equipment (UE) configured to perform D2D communication in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting a signal after application of a first timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication,

wherein the first timing advance (TA) value for the D2D communication is associated with a second timing advance (TA) value applied when the UE transmits an uplink signal to a base station (BS).

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication is identical to the second timing advance (TA) value.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication is achieved by adding a predetermined value to the second timing advance (TA) value.

4. The method according to claim 3, wherein the predetermined value is either an integer multiple of a cyclic prefix (CP) or a value indicated by the BS.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein the timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication is the highest one from among values that are BS-established as the second timing advance (TA) value.

6. The method according to claim 1, wherein the second timing advance (TA) value is received as a MAC control element.

7. The method according to claim 1, wherein:

a frequency band used when the first timing advance (TA) value is applied to signal transmission is smaller than a frequency band used when the second timing advance (TA) value is applied to signal transmission.

8. A user equipment (UE) apparatus configured to perform D2D communication in a wireless communication system, the UE apparatus comprising:

a transmission module; and

a processor,

wherein the processor transmits a signal after application of a first timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication, and the first timing advance (TA) value for the D2D communication is associated with a second timing advance (TA) value applied when the UE transmits an uplink signal to a base station (BS).

9. The UE apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication is identical to the second timing advance (TA) value.

10. The UE apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication is achieved by adding a predetermined value to the second timing advance (TA) value.

11. The UE apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the predetermined value is either an integer multiple of a cyclic prefix (CP) or a value indicated by the BS.

12. The UE apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the timing advance (TA) value for D2D communication is the highest one from among values that are BS-established as the second timing advance (TA) value.

13. The UE apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the second timing advance (TA) value is received as a MAC control element.

14. The UE apparatus according to claim 8, further comprising:

a frequency band used when the first timing advance (TA) value is applied to signal transmission is smaller than a frequency band used when the second timing advance (TA) value is applied to signal transmission.
