1. A patient activity monitoring device, the device comprising:
- a first body and a second body, wherein the first and second bodies are configured to be positioned proximate a joint of a human patient;
a flexible, elongate member extending from the first body toward the second body;
a first sensor disposed in the first body, wherein the first sensor is configured to acquire data indicative of motion of the patient;
a second sensor extending through the elongate member from the first body toward the second body, wherein the second sensor is configured to acquire data indicative of a flexion of the joint of the patient; and
a transmitter coupled to the first and second sensors, wherein the transmitter is configured to wirelessly transmit the data acquired from the first and second sensors to a computer.

Abstract
Systems for monitoring patient activity and associated methods and systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the system can be configured to receive data indicative of motion of a joint acquired by a sensor positioned proximate a patient'"'"'s joint. The system can detect patterns in the acquired data, and match corresponding patient activities to the detected patterns. The system can generate a report listing the patient activities, which can be transmitted to the patient'"'"'s medical practitioner.

8. A system for monitoring a patient, the system comprising:
-
a receiver configured to receive data indicative of motion of a joint, wherein the data is acquired by a sensor positionable on the patient proximate the joint; memory configured to store the acquired data and executable instructions; and one or more processors coupled to the memory and the receiver, wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute the instructions stored on the memory, and wherein the instructions include instructions for— detecting one or more patterns in the acquired data; determining one or more patient activities based on the one or more detected patterns; and automatically generating a report that includes a list of one or more of the patient activities occurring during a predetermined period of time. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12, 13)
