Abstract

To provide is a lubricating oil composition capable of exerting an improved fuel-saving performance and having an improved shear stability.

The lubricating oil composition comprises (A) a mineral base oil having kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of no more than 5 mm²/s and % C_P of no less than 90; and (B) a polymer having weight average molecular weight of no more than 15000.

Claims

1. A lubricating oil composition comprising:

(A) a mineral base oil having kinematic viscosity at 100°

C. of no more than 5 mm²/s, and % C_P of no less than 90; and

(B) a polymer having weight average molecular weight of no more than 15000.

2. The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1,

wherein the (A) mineral base oil has % C_N of no more than 15.

3. The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1,

wherein the component (B) is a copolymer of an α

-olefin and an α

,β

-ethylenic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid diester.

4. The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1, further comprising:

(D) an amide friction modifier.

5. The lubricating oil composition according to claim 1, which is a lubricating oil for transmission.
