Abstract

An approach for providing segment-based viewing of recorded sessions is described. A video platform may determine one or more segments of a communication session based on content of the communication session. The video platform may also associate one or more segments with a recording of the communication session. The video platform may cause, at least in part, a presentation of the recording and one or more indicators for navigating playback of the recording based on the one or more segments, wherein the one or more indicators correspond to the one or more segments.

47. A method comprising:

determining of one or more segments of a communication session based on content of the communication session;

associating the one or more segments with a recording of the communication session; and

causing, at least in part, a presentation of the recording and one or more indicators for navigating playback of the recording based on the one or more segments, wherein the one or more indicators correspond to the one or more segments.

48. A method of claim 47, comprising:

causing, at least in part, a receipt of one or more ratings associated with the one or more segments, the recording, the communication secession, or a combination thereof.

49. A method of claim 48, comprising:

determining an authorization to rate the one or more segments, the recording, the communication secession, or a combination thereof.

50. A method of claim 48, comprising:

causing, at least in part, a transmission of the recording, the one or more rating, or a combination thereof to cause one or more reviews of the one or more segments, the recording, the communication secession, or a combination thereof.

51. A method of claim 50, comprising:

causing, at least in part, a generation of a report based on the one or more ratings, the one or more reviews, or a combination thereof.

52. A method of claim 47, wherein the communication session is among a plurality of communication sessions associated with a service, each of the communication sessions includes video media of an unscripted interview.

53. A method of claim 47, comprising:

associating the recording with at least one user account; and

causing, at least in part, an access to the recording based, at least in part, on an authentication of the at least one user account.

54. A method of claim 47, comprising:

causing, at least in part, a receipt of a request to schedule a communication session on one of one or more time slots associated with a calendar user interface.

55. A method of claim 54, comprising:

causing, at least in part, a receipt of payment information associated with the scheduling of the communication session.

56. A method of claim 54, comprising:

causing, at least in part, a change to a time block representing availability of the one or more time slots on the calendar user interface.

57. An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,

the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,

determine one or more segments of a communication session based on content of the communication session;

associate the one or more segments with a recording of the communication session; and

cause, at least in part, a presentation of the recording and one or more indicators for navigating playback of the recording based on the one or more segments, wherein the one or more indicators correspond to the one or more segments.

58. An apparatus of claim 57, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, a receipt of one or more ratings associated with the one or more segments, the recording, the communication secession, or a combination thereof.

59. An apparatus of claim 58, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine an authorization to rate the one or more segments, the recording, the communication secession, or a combination thereof.

60. An apparatus of claim 58, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, a transmission of the recording, the one or more rating, or a combination thereof to cause one or more reviews of the one or more segments, the recording, the communication secession, or a combination thereof.

61. An apparatus of claim 60, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

cause, at least in part, a generation of a report based on the one or more ratings, the one or more reviews, or a combination thereof.

62. An apparatus of claim 57, wherein the communication session is among a plurality of communication sessions associated with a service, each of the communication sessions includes video media of an unscripted interview.

63. An apparatus of claim 57, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

associate the recording with at least one user account; and

cause, at least in part, an access to the recording based, at least in part, on an authentication of the at least one user account.

64. A computer program product including one or more sequences of one or more instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one of more processors to perform the following:

determine one of one or more segments of a communication session based on content of the communication session;

associate of the one or more segment with a recording of the communication session; and

present the recording and one or more indicators for navigating playback of the recording based on the one or more segments, wherein the one or more indicators correspond to the one or more segments.

65. A computer program of claim 64, which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one of more processors to perform the following:

cause, at least in part, a receipt of one or more ratings associated with the one or more segments, the recording, the communication session, or a combination thereof.

66. A computer program of claim 65, which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one of more processors to perform the following:

determine an authorization to rate the one or more segments, the recording, the communication session, or a combination thereof.
