Abstract

This invention provides a method and an apparatus for recreating data collected from a machine for distribution to one or more remote terminals for monitoring and evaluating machine operations. Machine operation parameters are sensed by at least one sensor, and the data collected regarding measured values of machine operations are transmitted to a conditioning device. The conditioning device validates the data by comparing and correlating the measured values to predetermined values of acceptable data set and converts output data from analog to digital data. The digitized analog data according to the measured parameters associated with machine operations are then transmitted to a data storage unit, where it is stored and subsequently retrieved for recreating the machine operation parameters to become accessible by one or more remote terminals.

Claims

1. A method for recreating machine operation parameters for distribution to one or more remote terminals comprising the following steps of:

(a) collecting a first output analog data of machine operation parameters from a machine operation using a sensor positioned with respect to said machine interfaces;

(b) validating said first output analog data to determine if it fits within predetermined values of acceptable data.

(c) converting said first output analog data to a first digital data;

(d) storing said first digital signal to a data storage unit;

(e) converting said first digital signal to a second output analog data indicative of said machine operation parameters; and

(f) adjusting said second output analog data to compare and correlate it with said first validated output analog signal.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the collecting step of the machine operation parameters comprising the following steps of:

(a) sensing said machine operation parameters while said machine operation is being performed;

(b) capturing sensory data related to said machine operation parameters;

(c) producing a first output analog data indicative of said machine operations parameters; and

(d) transmitting said the first output analog data indicative of said machine operations parameters;

The method of claim 2, wherein the sensing step receiving at least one machine operation parameter sensed by a sensor selected from the group consisting of accelerometer, thermometer probe, gas detector, level detector, velocity probe, displacement probe, pressure sensor, sound level, ultrasonic, humidity probe, corrosion strip, load cell, RTD, proximity sensor, tachometer, or any combination thereof.

4. The method of claim 2, wherein the capturing step collecting at least one machine operation parameter selected from the group consisting of velocity, acceleration, displacement, temperature, and any combination thereof.

5. The method of claim 2, wherein the transmitting step further comprising means for transmitting said first output analog data.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of converting said first output analog data further comprising means for transmitting said first digital data to said data storage unit.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the storing step further comprising uploading said first digital signal data to a host database server.

8. The method of claim 1, where in the step of converting said first digital signal further comprising a step of retrieving said first digital data from said host database server.

9. An apparatus using the method of claim 1 for recreating machine operation parameters for distribution, the apparatus comprising:

(a) at least one sensor positioned with respect to machine interfaces to sense machine operation parameters, capture a first sensory data of said machine operation parameters, and produce a first output analog data indicative of a measured value of said first sensory data.

(b) a conditioning device having an analog input and a digital output operatively connected to the sensor and operable to receive said first output analog data and convert it to a first digital data;

(c) a data storage unit operatively connected to said conditioning device and operable to receive and store said first digital data; and

(d) a processing unit operatively connected to said data storage unit and operable to convert said first digital data to a second output analog data indicative of said first sensory data.

10. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein said sensor is further configured to transmit said first output analog data, via a wireless network, to said conditioning device.

11. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein said conditioning device comprising an analyzer operable to receive said first output analog data and convert it to said first digital data indicative of said first sensory data.

12. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein said conditioning device further comprising a fault report detector to verify the validity of said first output analog data.

13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the fault report detector is further configured to compare and correlate, in real time, said output analog data indicative of said sensory data with a corresponding data from predetermined value of acceptable data.

14. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the analyzer is further configured to transmit said first digital data, via a wireless network, to said data storage unit.

15. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein said data storage unit further comprising an interface circuit operable to receive said first digital data.

16. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein said data storage unit further comprising a host database server run on a computer and operable to store said first digital data.

17. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the processing unit further comprising a digital to analog conversion device to convert said first digital signal to said second analog data indicative of said first sensory data.

18. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the processing unit further comprising means for adjusting said second analog data to match one or more characteristics of said first output analog data.
