Abstract

A touch window includes a substrate, a sensing electrode disposed on the substrate to sense a position, and a protective layer on the sensing electrode. A touch device includes a touch window, and a driving part on the touch window.

Claims

1. A touch window comprising:

a substrate including a first active area and a second active area, the second active area being flexibly provided from the first active area;

a sensing electrode provided on the substrate to sense a position; and

a protective layer on the sensing electrode,

wherein the protective layer is disposed in the second active area.

2. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the protective layer makes direct contact with the sensing electrode.

3. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the protective layer includes a first protective layer on a top surface of the sensing electrode and a second protective layer on a bottom surface of the sensing electrode.

4. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the sensing electrode includes a transparent conductive material.

5. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the sensing electrode includes a conductive pattern.

6. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the sensing electrode includes one selected from the group consisting of a nanowire, a carbon nanotube (CNT), grapheme and a metal.

7. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the protective layer includes polymer.

8. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the protective layer includes one selected from the group consisting of polyurethane, acrylate, methacrylate, epoxy, polycarbonate, polyethylene and polystyrene.

9. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the protective layer has a thickness in a range of 1 μ

m to 20 μ

m.

10. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the substrate is flexible.

11. The touch window of claim 1, wherein the protective layer is further provided in the first active area.

12. The touch window of claim 11, wherein a first sensing electrode is provided in the first active area;

and

a second sensing electrode is provided in the second active area,

wherein the first and second sensing electrodes include mutually different materials.

13. A touch device comprising:

a touch window; and

a driving part on the touch window,

wherein the touch window includes;

a substrate;

a sensing electrode provided on the substrate to sense a position; and

a protective layer on the sensing electrode.

14. The touch device of claim 13, wherein the touch window includes a curved or flexible touch window.
