Abstract

Systems and methods for implementing itemization systems with automated photography are disclosed. An itemization task may include an itemization process and a photography process that uses a first camera set to a first field of view and a second camera set to a second field of view to take a first and second photo of an item undergoing itemization. The first and second cameras automatically take photos of the item based on user input during an itemization process. The first and second cameras remain stationary and do not require repositioning or refocusing when a new item is itemized. The itemization process may be performed using 10-key input.

Claims

1. A system, comprising:

a first camera set to a first field of view;

a non-transitory computer readable medium having instructions embedded therein, the instructions configured to implement an itemization task, comprising;

performing an itemization process; and

performing a photography process, comprising;

taking a first field of view photo of an item using the first camera;

wherein the photography process is automatically performed based on user input during the itemization process.

2. The system of claim 1, further comprising a second camera set to a second field of view, and wherein performing a photography process further comprises taking a second field of view photo of the item using the second camera if a precondition is satisfied.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the itemization process is performed based on 10-key entry from a user.

4. The system of claim 3, wherein the itemization process and photography process are simultaneously performed.

5. The system of claim 3, wherein the instructions are further configured to perform a pre-itemization process.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein the pre-itemization process comprises:

setting up a customer if a customer does not exist for the itemization task; and

setting up a job if a job does not exist for the itemization task.

7. The system of claim 3, wherein the itemization process is performed using dynamic menus.

8. The system of claim 3, wherein the first camera and second camera are internet protocol cameras.

9. The system of claim 3, wherein the instructions are further configured to transmit the first photo and second photo over a network to a server for storage.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the itemization and photography processes are prioritized over transmitting the first and second photos over a network to a server.

11. The system of claim 4, further comprising a storage connected to the non-transitory computer readable medium and configured to store the first photo and second photo.

12. The system of claim 3, wherein the first camera and the second camera do not change field of view during the photography process.

13. The system of claim 12, wherein the first camera and second camera are fixed during the photography process.

14. The system of claim 3, wherein the itemization process and the photography process are repeated for a plurality of items.

15. The system of claim 3, wherein the first camera and second camera are an integrated camera module with a first field of view and a second field of view, and wherein the integrated camera module takes the first field of view photo and second field of view photo.

16. The system of claim 3, further comprising a user interface configured to display the first camera field of view and the second camera field of view.

17. A method, comprising

performing an itemization process;

and

performing a photography process, comprising;

taking a first field of view photo of an item using a first camera set to a first field of view;

wherein the photography process is automatically performed by a computer based on user input during the itemization process.

18. The method of claim 17, the photography process further comprising taking a second field of view photo of the item using a second camera set to a second field of view if a precondition is satisfied.

19. The method of claim 17, wherein the itemization process is performed based on 10-key entry from a user.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the itemization process and photography process are simultaneously performed.

21. The method of claim 19, further comprising performing a pre-itemization process.

22. The method of claim 20, wherein the pre-itemization process comprises:

setting up a customer if a customer does not exist for the itemization task; and

setting up a job if a job does not exist for the itemization task.

23. The method of claim 18, wherein the itemization process is performed using dynamic menus.

24. The method of claim 18, wherein the first camera and second camera are internet protocol cameras.

25. The method of claim 18, further comprising transmitting the first photo and second photo over a network to a server for storage.

26. The system of claim 24, wherein the itemization and photography processes are prioritized over transmitting the first and second photos over a network to a server.

27. The method of claim 18, further comprising storing the first photo and second photo on a storage connected to the non-transitory computer readable medium.

28. The method of claim 18, wherein the first camera and the second camera do not change field of view during the photography process.

29. The method of claim 27, wherein the first camera and second camera are fixed during the photography process.

30. The method of claim 18, wherein the itemization process and the photography process are repeated for a plurality of items.

31. The method of claim 17, wherein the first camera and second camera are an integrated camera module with a first field of view and a second field of view, and wherein the integrated camera module takes the first field of view photo and second field of view photo.

32. The method of claim 18, further comprising displaying the first camera field of view and the second camera field of view on a user interface.

33. A method, comprising:

taking a first field of view photo of an item using a first camera set to a first field of view; and

taking a second field of view photo of the item using a second camera set to a second field of view if a precondition is satisfied;

wherein the first field of view photo and second field of view photo are automatically taken by a computer based on user input during an itemization process.
