Abstract

The disclosure extends to computer-implemented personal financial management tools, methods and systems for providing financial transaction data to a user in the form of transaction images, such as check images, deposit images, receipt images, and other transaction related images, which may be incorporated into the personal financial management tool. The disclosure also extends to computer-implemented personal financial management tools, methods and systems for receiving core data, which may include transaction data, from a financial or banking institution and processing the data by cleansing the data, automatically categorizing the data, classifying the data, and then sending that processed data back to the financial or banking institution. The disclosure also extends to receiving and sending such data to and from the financial or banking institution in real-time.

Claims

1. A method of providing core financial transaction data to a user comprising:

receiving core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction from a core banking product over a computer network;

storing the core financial transaction data in a computer readable storage;

processing the core transaction data comprising one or more of the following steps;

cleansing the core transaction data, or

automatically categorizing the core transaction data, or

classifying the core transaction data; and

sending the one or more of cleansed core transaction data, categorized core transaction data, or classified core transaction data back to the core banking product to be output digitally to a user.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received in real-time from the core banking product over a computer network.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is pushed from the core banking product over a computer network.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the one or more of cleansed core transaction data, categorized core transaction data, or classified core transaction data is sent back to the core banking product in real-time, such that the core banking product posts the transaction data for a user in real-time.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received in a batch from the core banking product over a computer network.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received by pulling the data from the core banking product over a computer network.

7. A method for providing financial transaction data to a user comprising:

receiving financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction from a merchant over a computer network;

storing the financial transaction data in a computer readable memory;

processing the transaction data comprising one or more of the following steps;

cleansing the transaction data, or

automatically categorizing the transaction data, or

classifying the transaction data; and

storing the one or more of cleansed transaction data, categorized transaction data, or classified transaction data in computer readable storage.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the method further comprises sending the one or more of cleansed core transaction data, categorized core transaction data, or classified core transaction data back to the core banking product to be output digitally to a user.

9. The method of claim 7, wherein the financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received in real-time from the merchant over a computer network.

10. The method of claim 7, wherein the financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is pushed from the merchant over a computer network.

11. The method of claim 7, wherein the financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received in a batch from the merchant over a computer network.

12. The method of claim 7, wherein the financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received by pulling the data from the merchant over a computer network.

13. A system for providing core financial transaction data relating to a real world financial transaction to a user comprising:

a personal financial management tool;

an aggregation router that pulls core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction from a core banking product over a computer network into the personal financial management tool for use by a user;

wherein the core financial transaction data is stored in a computer readable storage;

wherein the core transaction data is processed using one or more of the following steps;

cleansing the core transaction data, or

automatically categorizing the core transaction data, or

classifying the core transaction data; and

wherein the one or more of cleansed core transaction data, categorized core transaction data, or classified core transaction data is sent back to the core banking product.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received in real-time from the core banking product over a computer network.

15. The system of claim 13, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is pushed from the core banking product over a computer network.

16. The system claim 13, wherein the one or more of cleansed core transaction data, categorized core transaction data, or classified core transaction data is sent back to the core banking product in real-time, such that the core banking product posts the transaction data for a user in real-time.

17. The system claim 13, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received in a batch from the core banking product over a computer network.

18. The system of claim 13, wherein the core financial transaction data representing a real world financial transaction is received by pulling the data from the core banking product over a computer network.
