1. A device configured for automatically shifting user interface modes based on information indicating user activity, comprising:
- at least one computer readable storage medium bearing instructions executable by a processor;
at least one processor configured for accessing the computer readable storage medium to execute the instructions to configure the processor for;
receiving a first signal from an activity sensor, the first signal indicating a first activity of a user of the device;
in response to receiving the first signal, establishing a first user interface output on an audio and/or visual display of the device;
receiving a second signal from an activity sensor, the second signal indicating a second activity of a user of the device;
in response to receiving the second signal, establishing a second user interface output on the audio and/or visual display of the device.
