Abstract

This disclosure relates to methods and systems for queuing events. In one aspect, a method is disclosed that receives or creates an event and inserts the event into a queue. The method determines at least one property of the event and associates a priority with the event based on the property. The method then processes the event in accordance with its priority.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

receiving a media distribution package comprising at least one media file;

determining an event based on the media distribution package, wherein the event is a video processing event, and wherein the event is associated with event information, and wherein the event information comprises a time after which the event is to be processed and at least one of an event type and an identifier of the at least one media file;

inserting the event into a queue;

associating a priority with the event based at least on the event information, wherein the priority is associated with the event based at least on availability of the at least one media file and availability of an agent configured to process events of the event type; and

processing the event in accordance with its priority.
