Abstract

The invention provides an optical component including a resin part having translucency and a phase plate. The phase plate is configured to be disposed on an emitting direction side of a display part capable of emitting linearly polarized light. The resin part is uncontrolled in terms of phase difference. The phase plate is configured to be disposed between the display part and the resin part. The phase plate has three to five times as large retardation as the resin part.

Claims

1. An optical component comprising:

a resin part having translucency, the resin part being configured to he disposed on an emitting direction side of a display part capable of emitting linearly polarized light, the resin part being uncontrolled in terms of phase difference; and

a phase plate configured to be disposed between the display part and the resin part, the phase plate having three to five times as large retardation as the resin past.

2. The optical component according to claim 1,

wherein the retardation of the phase plate is at least 3,000 nm.

3. The optical component according to claim 2,

wherein the retardation of the phase plate is at least 5,000 nm.

4. The optical component according to claim 3,

wherein the retardation of the phase plate is at least 10,000 nm.

5. The optical component according to claim 1,

wherein the phase plate is oriented such that an optic axis of the phase plate forms an angle of approximately 45 degrees with a polarization axis of the linearly polarized light emitted from the display part.

6. The optical component according to claim 2,

wherein the phase plate is oriented such that an optic axis of the phase plate forms an angle of approximately 45 degrees with a polarization axis of the linearly polarized light emitted from the display part.

7. A touchscreen panel comprising:

the optical component according to claim 1; and

a sensor capable of detecting an approach of a detection target,

wherein the sensor is disposed between the phase plate of the optical component and the display part.

8. A touchscreen panel comprising:

the optical component according to claim 2; and

a sensor capable of detecting an approach of a detection target,

wherein the sensor is disposed between the phase plate of the optical component and the display part.

9. A touchscreen panel comprising:

the optical component according to claim 5; and

a sensor capable of detecting an approach of a detection target,

wherein the sensor is disposed between the phase plate of the optical component and the display part.

10. A touchscreen panel comprising:

this optical component according to claim 1; and

a sensor capable of detecting an approach of a detection target,

wherein the sensor is disposed between the resin part of the optical component and the phase plate of the optical component.

11. A touchscreen panel comprising:

the optical component according to claim 2 and

a sensor capable of detecting an approach of a detection target,

wherein the sensor is disposed between the resin part of the optical component and the phase plate of the optical component.

12. A touchscreen panel comprising:

the optical component according to claim 5; and

a sensor capable of defecting an approach of a selection target,

wherein the sensor is disposed between the resin part of the optical component and the phase plate of the optical component.

13. A display device comprising:

a display part capable of emitting linearly polarized light; and

the optical component according to claim 1 disposed on the emitting direction side of the display part.

14. A display device comprising:

a display part capable of emitting linearly polarized light; and

the optical component according to claim 2 disposed on the emitting direction side of the display part.

15. A display device comprising:

a display part capable of emitting linearly polarized light; and

the optical component according to claim 5 disposed on the emitting direction side of the display part.
